    Mil, Thanks for the suggestions. These barrels are completely shot out. Beings they are fluted they are not much fun to turn down to round.

    Hi Guys, What do you do with barrels that you have replaced for one reason or another? I have 4 Shillen match 22 cal barrels that are chambered and threaded for a 700 rem in .223.They are fluted and are about .900 at the muzzle. Except for the rifling they are "Cherry".

    Firing pin bushing?

    Hi Guys, I have a couple of Rem 700 bolts that have pits around the firing pin caused by ??? (soft primers probably). Somewhere I have seen a couple of articles on bushing the firing pin and doing away with the pits. Please help me find the information. Thanks, Don Carper

    If you feel that you must use a screw then why not a small wood screw? The trigger guard will not fall off if you do not use a screw. Don
