    We Haven't Had A Good Car Thread In A While...........My '67 Chevelle

It never fails that when car guys start talking about their toys, that invariably the conversation turns to the one that got away. I'm one of the few that can say that it didn't happen..... I still have my "73" Z-28 that I ordered when I was a senior in high school, still all original with 26k...

Shipping to an FFL has even tightened up..

Not true..... The counter clerk can only ask you if the package is fragile, liquid, perishable, or potentially hazardous, nothing more, nothing less. You do not have to state, nor do they need, or required to know, that there's a firearm in the package. No markings of any kind on the outside...

    IBS Annual Meeting Summary

I was told that they were going to comply with the rules as required for the 2012 season, which, IMO, should not have ruled them out for the 2012 Nationals.

    IBS Annual Meeting Summary

That's the biggest asinine statement I've read today. All IBS clubs should be rotated for the Nationals. BTW, I believe the midwest shooters out numbered the eastern shooters at White Horse this past year.

    max.burgess

FYI, I shot a factory Sendero for 2 or 3 years in the IK stock class at Pella. I settled on 190 SMK's and Retumbo at just under 3300. I saw no reason to try any other powder. Set the small group record at the time...4" something....

    Scope ?

For reference..... I use the 12x42 BR models on both light and heavy guns with the 3X booster, on something around a 35 MOA base. I'm close to the optical center at 1K, and still can can get zeroed at 200. I prefer the 1/8 MOA clicks, and don't see the need for the NXS series over the BR.(costs...

    Pros & Cons

The advantage to pinning is you don't have to pull the action out when switching barrels. For the cost of one pin job, it'll buy you a lug alignment tool. I've had several pinned, and the only one that ever broke was compliments of someone else........

    Powder for .243/95vld

None, really. H-414 is the only one mentioned so far that meets your last criteria, metering. It may be a little dirty, and may be a bit temperature sensitive, but no biggie to me either way. I've found it's a great powder for most 308 based cases. It's my go to powder in a 7-08 with 120...

    Nightforce rings and bases?

The question was if anyone uses NF rings and bases, and if they are worth it. Just by virtue of me using the bases tells me I think so, and again, I prefer Seekins rings over the NF, or any of the rings with the big ass nuts on the sides, for their aesthetic value for my eyes. NF only makes...

    Nightforce rings and bases?

I have several NF 40 MOA bases on my play guns, but prefer Seekins rings for the aesthetic value. Both are stout.....

    6mm Super LR Reamer

I've got a 6 Dasher reamer with .055" freebore. Works perfectly for the 70 BT's through 95 VLD's with the Dasher's neck length.

I got my hands on some danzac!!

Humidity is the culprit of lousy coatings(plating). I've moly plated a lot of bullets outside in 30-40 degree temps temps, but with low humidity, with outstanding results.
