    Bottle Bomb warning

Many years ago a friend of mine that lived in Freeport ,Texas had a 10 year old son who was playing in the front yard of his home and found a glass throw away full bottle of beer. He picked it up and it exploded and sent a 2 inch sliver of glass into the white part his eye. He had to hold his...

    I Like Pawn Stars, But..........

The reason that Damascus barrels on shotguns are dangerous is the fact that they can rust in between the wraps where you cannot see it. It may work fine but eventually it becomes very dangerous and I have seen two of them myself with a hole blown in the side of the barrel just about where your...

    BAT DS-151 stolen

Look on the back of your car to see if in some way your car was marked at the match so someone later could relieve you of your rifle. I have read where they put luminous little dots stuck to the back of your car.

    6br

The twist is 1:8. I have some brass I have outside reamed and they measure .268 before I seat the bullet. I will give that a try.

    6br

It is definitely a 6BR, stamped on the barrel and when I fired it with new brass that had not been outside neck trimmed a bullet would not enter the fired case. Stamped on the barrel is 6br norma.

    6br

New to benchrest shooting. I bought a new Remington action with CBI barrel chambered in 6BR norma. Test fired it with one handload with 30 grs Varget and 95 gr Hornady bullet. After firing I could not put a bullet back in the case without forcing it. Do I need to outside neck trim the Norma...

    Scope bases

That is why I asked because they looked like the scope could slide forward under recoil without the groove in the base and some kind of locking device. I appreciate the info.

    Scope bases

I haven't shot any benchrest in over 40 years and I recently bought a benchrest rifle with a Stainless Remington action, a stainless barrel with a 1 in 8 twist and caliber is 6mm BR norma. It has a set of scope bases on it that I have seen on other benchrest rifles that are similar to Unertl...

    Sightron scopes

I have had two Sightron scopes, a 6-24x42 and a 10-50. I did not like the 10-50 and sold it. I really like the 6-24x42 and have it mounted on a Ruger stainless mark II in 260 caliber. It is a great scope. The 10-50 was ok it was just so big and the crosshairs were too small for my use. If I find...

    Hornady's New 17 Hornet

I had a 17 Ackley Bee built in 1964 and have been shooting that caliber ever since. It is a deadly caliber out to 200 yards and not much chance of a ricochet.

    lyman 35x scope

If the scope doesn't have enough elevation to zero the maybe you should check the bases and see if they are installed correctly and the right height.

    Kimber rifles?????

I took a Kimber stainless fluted barrel 308 in trade and the rifle looked new. The best I could get off of the bench at 100 yards was 2 1/2 to 3 inch groups. I really liked the rifle but when it would not shoot I traded it for a Leupold scope.
