lyman 35x scope

I just bought a lyman 35x. I have done some reading up on it, and perhaps I made a mistake, but I have already bought it. It's nice and clear, but the problem is in the adjustments. The windage knob turns with very definitive clicks, but the point of aim doesn't move. It also doesn't have enough elevation to zero, but I can shim that.
Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to work on these scopes, or someone that might be able to repair it?
 
Thanks for the info. I was going to try to take it apart myself, but can find no diagram of it. I know the adjustment knob stud must come off somehow, but I haven't been able to see how. Once I give up, I will contact a pro.
 
Well, I have not heard back from Parsons. Can anyone reccomend another repair service that might be able to repair it?

Labor Rates
$10 per hour
$15 per hour if you watch
$25 per hour if you help

and it would probably also have said

$50 per hour if you already tried to fix it.

If the scope doesn't have enough elevation to zero the maybe you should check the bases and see if they are installed correctly and the right height.
 
Walley Siebert is your man If it a LWBR he probably did the boost. Bill Ackerman also knows a lot about the lymans
