Austin Rifle Club - Match Results June 25, 2023 - Steve Brown wins TieBreaker

I don't know about "the greatest match director", but Steve runs great matches and has come up with methods and match procedures that I never thought of. He is the core reason these matches run so well and are a joy to all who participate. Keep those "X's" coming Steve! Virg

Larry Baggett has left the range...

A Sad Day... God the first match I shot with a borrowed rifle ended not too well for me, but the BBQ Larry had at his place made up for it. The Benchrest world is much diminished by his passing. He was at many a Blue Bonnet matches I called. Virgil Howarth Austin

    Walt Berger Passes

Here was a guy... Walt was a guy who would answer the phone and answer patiently any question one had regards bench rest shooting. He did not care if you were competing against him in a match. His answers were always the right answer. Men like Walt don't come along very often and the sport is...

    NRA Files for Bankruptcy

Uhh... Uhh...I believe that was 30%. And after the Revolutionary war, rather than murder the loyalists, we allowed them to go to Canada.

No The a measuring device for group scoring. I bought the one for score shooting used in VFS and Hunter matches. It had several bullet diameter rings that were placed over the bullet hole.

    We lost Gene Buckys Today!

One of the Best I only met Gene a couple of times at the Blue Bonnet matches. He was a warm friendly guy and a pleasure to be around. He'll be much missed. The Benchrest community is diminished.

    Ammunition

What the devil is going on? Everyone is out of most handgun ammunition. Is everyone afraid of a civil war, just because of the election? I need 38 special for target practice and there is none to be had, or 357 mag. Sorry state of affairs is some people are buying it up in mass quantities to...
