    Screw removal advice

If you're going the "soak route" first, roll it to the left 90 degrees, and put the BARREL in the padded vise. Then pull the bolt, and with a toothpick or other small implement, put whatever "soak" you want, down into the screwholes, where they come into the raceway. On the "slot side", many of...

    6mm Super LR Reamer

Whitley has TWO 6MM chambers. One is for LR Target shooting, and will take the longer heavier bullets. The other is for varminters, but has a shorter throat for the lighter varmint-type bullets. Same chamber, just accomodates two different type bullets. Not sure of his designations, but there...

    6mm Super LR Reamer

Talk to Whitley about this, I don't have his number, but he's helpful. He also has a Super LR "S" I believe, which has a shorter freebore for varmint bullets. If you know anyone who has a copy of Wolfe Publishing Company's "Wildcat Cartridges", don't overlook the .22 Super PDC. With that nice...

    Rcbs aps priming system

You might also try the Bonanza Primer seater; it is so easy to seat primers that, when I tried it a few times, I wondered if the primer was actually seated, even though I was using new brass. Its easiest to feed primers into the tubes by modifying a flipper to accept the tubes. If you decide to...

Information Requsted on Rem and Winchester BR rifles

Looking at the .22, the block on the bridge is set up for the Bausch & Lomb, Lyman, or Unertl target-type 'scopes, which were long and were attached to both the barrel and receiver. If you plan to sell these, try to find someone who wants them for a collection, I don't think anyone would...

    Back to the borescope

To help w/those 'scopes and their safety........... get some Delrin and turn down a piece about 6-8 inches long, 'til it fits the receiver well, then drill it just 6-10 thousands over 'scope tube diameter, and you have a 'scope guide that should preclude any collisions when going in the breech...

    Amarican guns

Television programming provides such a............. delightful interlude to commercials. American Guns, Yep, they're smugglin' grapefruits and cantalopes now, in ten years it'll be cantalopes and watermelons, and then eventually, corn on the cob will take over. As one guy said to me when we...

What are you using for jeweling / engine turning

I've used the little steel brush, too................ but I took some fine copper wire and wrapped it tightly around the bristles to keep them from spreading; It allows you to put more pressure on the brush. You have to try it in an inconspicuous place to get the pressure you like.
