    G. Aldridge dies in classified .......

Fran; I get a lot of them funny looks about 3 times a week when I go to Hardee's for biscuits and gravy... I was telling one fella about my trip to Italy last year to see my grand-daughter. He asked me if I drove there.

    Food for thought

Jerry; An independent may not be such a bad idea if he/she would get some help from either or both sides. That won't happen. It was tried in MN. with an ex body builder governor. He got no help and was out after one term. That's the way our system is. We may not like it, but old Geezers like...

    Happy Birthday to Fred Hasecuster

Thanks for this info. Fred used to chamber my barrels back then. Jim was a regular at Holton, MI. in the Eastern region until he moved out of the area. Both fine people.

Thanks to people like SC Rep. Mr. Trey Gowdy. If anyone on here has never heard him take people like Hillary to task, just pull up his name and enjoy watching and listening. Joe

    Thoughts on Benchrest Competition

Great post Jackie. I'm one of those with an old Hart rest, and I have often looked at equipment being used by top shooters who can well afford the latest and supposedly "best", then I take a deeper look at some, ( one in particular that usually places in the top 5 or thereabouts) at the SS...

Do we clean our Rifles too much?

Especially if you finish your cleaning with J-B. I find I need to put at least 2 and sometimes 3 in the sighter to get to where Jerry is saying.

    Solvent Tests

Don't know if my two bottles are new or the old, but I use it first...( I like the way it smells too ;) ) then chase it with Butches. Borescope shows a clean barrel with 1700 through it.

    Thoughts on Benchrest Competition

This thread rates as one of the best , certainly the most interesting. Safe to say it covers everyone, especially in this particular endeavor. That said, I will admit that shooting aspirins at 100yd with a quality.22 ( 40 x or better ) with the same group of old foggies, ( like me) on Sunday...

Peter Smith wins the WWCCA Fall Classic in grand style

Pete has been a consistent shooter for as long as I have known him. 2 "ones" at 200 ? Good grief ! Couldn't happen to a better guy either. Joe

    Joe Hynes

I agree as well. Always good to see someone who has been coming along for awhile now, come out on top of a field of known consistent shooters. His being such a really great person doesn't do him any harm either. I am more than pleased to see you take this honor Joe... Joe

    Our New Range

Lee; As one who has a bunch of years on concrete, I would urge you to install a "chamfer strip in the out side corners so eliminate sharp edges. They only need be the same height as the 2x4"s. We always use "Parafin" oil so the forms strip easily. Some other type of thin oil would probably work...

Scotty Crawford's Cartridge Holders For The Farley Rest

Scotty always does a fantastic job whenever he undertakes something. But let us not forget it was Larry Costa who came up with the idea after "cannibalizing"a custom cartridge box. I am happy to see Scotty doing these. They will be perfect in every way. Joe
