    SEB or Farley front rest

The SEB is well worth the wait, when I ordered mine Ernie was quick to respond and gave me a pretty accurate delivery time. A couple of my friends also have the SEB rest and have emailed SEB and also received quick responses. SEB; Thanks for such a fine quality rest; I believe it's the best...

    Reasonable priced spotting scope?

KD Varmint, I see you're from south central PA, I would strongly suggest going to Lost Creek Shoe shop outside of McAlisterville, it's an Amish shop that has a whole back room full of optics that you can compare. He has different objects set up at different ranges that you can look at. What I...

Where in the HE!! are these pressue signs coming from !!!

Sounds to me like a carbon ring inside your chamber, look with a bore scope and I expect you'll see a carbon ring somewhere between where the case ends and the rifling begins. If you don't have a bore scope borrow one and clean until it is gone.

    108 Bergers

They work great in a 6BR from a 100 yards to a 1000 yards with an 8 twist and Varget.

    300 uitra improved

LG, I don't know there are any advantages other than you can get 30-378 velocity without a belted mag. and I'm not certain that’s an advantage either. If you’re shooting paper the 300 WSM is hard to beat. Very accurate and efficient. Good barrel life too. If you want to kill something at 1000...

    300 uitra improved

I don't know anything about Lou's gun but my 300 improved is called a 300 Tomahawk, It takes some of the taper out of the case and then puts a 35 degree shoulder on it. Shoots a 240 grain SMK accuratly at 2900fps. You can drive them well over 3000fps but accuracy falls off more than I like to see

    Spotting Scope Questions

I have the Swarovski HD with the variable eyepeice and it does everything I want it to. If your looking to see bullet holes at 500, do exactly that when looking through them to compare. I made the mistake of comparing The Swaro to the high end Nikon, looking at trees and other objects at the...

Looking for Suggetions / Source for high quality 300 Winchester Mag Brass

Maybe if enough people asked Lapua they would see there is a demand for the 300 WSM brass. I talked to them a year ago and at that time they said they had no plans of producing it. Shoot them an Email and lets show Lapua there is a need for High qualitly 300 WSM brass. THe cartridge is getting...

front & rear guard screw torque ?

I don't know what the "Proper" setting is but I set the front screw at 60"lbs and the rear at 30"lbs. Front being the screw at the recoil lug and the rear being the rear tang of the action. I let the middle screw out of the trigger guard

    what powder for 30-378

WC-872 has very close ballistics to H870. I use WC-872 in a 300 Tomohawk pushing 240 grain SMK's I know it's not a 30-378 but it's very close in ballistics. My gun has a 30" 10 twist Hart too. WC-872 is dirty but it shoots good groups and it's cheap. I think when I bought it I paid $32 for an...

    Bore guide/rod.

I am by no means a pro but I do have several Dewey rods and I must say after I bought a Tipton Rod I won't buy another Dewey. The bearings in the handle are so much smoother. In fact there is no comparison. You don't have to tighten the cleaning jag with a pair of pliers with the tipton because...

    Scopes

The Leupold 8.5-25x50mm is very hard to beat. Fine Duplex is is simple and gives a definitive aiming point. I think a 1/4 mill dot is too big. I have scopes with 1/8 mill dots and I like them a lot but I probably will not buy another one. Reticle choice is something I think you will need to...

Williamsport Pits Rebuild - What's Going On?

RCW I have to agree with Wolfdawg. Give it up! If you have a beef with Williamsport got there and VOTE. Quit trying to bad mouth them on a public forum. This is not the place. Being a self employed LAWYER I would think you of all people would understand taking care of a matter like this behind...
