    Which primers?

I like the Federal 205's as an alternate. I believe they are the exact same thing as the Match 205's. But, are not visually inspected 100% percent like the Match primers are. I also believe that I read this on this forum several years ago. But, I've used the Rem Match primers and the Wolf...

Just wanted to say hello and Happy New Year

Thank you both for the replies. I guess I'll start seeing what all I have exactly. I know I have plenty of brass. Just don't remember the condition of it. Guess I better start trying to relearn/remember everything now and get some bench time. James

Just wanted to say hello and Happy New Year

Just wanted to say hello and Happy New Year to everyone and ask a question. I'm going to try and make some matches this year. Not sure which ones. It will be determined by my work schedule. My question is; Can one still be competitive without a tuner? I stopped shooting just as tuners were...

    Wilber. Classified sign up

Yep, I'm still here I'm trying to get where I can shoot again. But, since my divorce in 09 I've been working 30-40 weekends every year since. I'm trying to get ready to retire and enjoy my free time. Hopefully I may get to shoot in some club matches if nothing else. Me and 11 others from...

    Wilber. Classified sign up

I tried logging in to the classified area and it doesn't recognize my normal user name and password. I tried registering and it said the email address was already in use and wouldn't let me register. I was trying to find out the prices and it just shows XXX.XX. I assume this is because I'm...

    Flat shooting varment calibre

Pelt damage. I don't do a lot of pelt hunting. But, I've found that I do less damage to the pelt when I use a FMJ bullet from any caliber gun. i.e. .222,.223, 22-250, .243 or even my 6AI. I don't have a .204. But I'm sure it would work as well. If I were going to build another gun I would...

    Thoughts on Lead Sled

nmibex, I'd stick to working on your technique with what you have. The BR top would let you move horizontally easier. But, you not in a timed event where every second might matter. Remember without flags you can only be so accurate. James

    Lake City Brass....

Canis Lupis, Had some friends that shot it because it was plentiful and advailable. They were shooting it in a 223AI. We had a mutual friend that worked for a local law enforcement agency that gave use a lifetime supply of once fired Winchester brass for free. The guys shooting it in the...

    powder prices

I know a lot of people who have gone out and bought them an AR15, M16, Mini 14/30 or whatever. The problem is there NOT buying enough ammo or components to feed it for more than a few minutes. So, they'll have these nice new guns but won't be able to shoot them. Because, ammo will be out of...

    Fun shoot at Denton

Just To let you know. Both, the Score and the Group will be Shot @ 100 Yards. Not 100 for score and 200 for group. This will prevent the target boards from having to be changed. I talked to Jon just to confirm what I understood per our conversation yesterday to make sure. Sorry for any...

One piece Dewey, Bore-Tech or Tipton. I use the Dewey & Bore-Tech's. I prefer the handles on the Bore-Tech's. James

    .243 Win Bullets

Kimberguy, Unless, your trying to get every last bit off accuracy out of your gun I'd save my money and use some of the premium bullets mentioned above. I'd try the ones in the 90-105gr range. They're lots of great bullets out there. You'll just have to try to find out what combo your gun...

Tested Loads Today - Really Disappointed

Kimberguy, Are you going to shoot in benchrest matches with it? If not I'd use Nossler Ballistic Tips or Hornady V-Maxs. They're about 1/2 the price or less. I don't think you'll probably ever shoot really small groups consistantly unless your using flags. I work up a load like you were...
