    Firing Pin effect on ignition

More firing pin minutia: In geometry, a spherical cap or spherical dome is a portion of a sphere cut off by a plane. If the plane passes through the center of the sphere, so that the height of the cap is equal to the radius of the sphere, the spherical cap is called a hemisphere. So it seems...

    Throat to dummy cartridge

Yes, you send them dummies with bullets seated exactly the way you want them and they will throat it accordingly with bullets touching lands (if possible). When you get the dummies back they'll likely have blue dye on the bullets and they'll be marked by the lands where they were fitting them.

Palma Bisley 150 rule. The std Bisley 150 rule .0917" lead will give a touch of jump w/FGMM and the std .3435" neck generally has plenty of clearance. Redding dies work well with this reamer if reloading.

Maybe the only downside to this type of chuck is it takes a bit of turning of the chuck key to swap collets. Some people use an adapter in an electric drill. I have a Hardinge Sjogren Speed...

    Need silver solder advice

How quickly were you able to get up to temp with the mapp/oxy? Heating time can be a factor along with ultimate temp. You can kill the flux if you have to heat for too long trying to get to temp. It is usually helpful to get the material up to brazing temp quickly without without lingering and...

    Need silver solder advice

There are solder and brazing compounds that both contain silver. The temp range is determined by what the silver is alloyed with. Just because a material contains silver does not automatically make it a high temperature brazing material. Silver solders use ~400-500°F and silver braze ~1200°F...
