in the continuing saga of the used kreirer 30 br bbl i bought, please talk to me about 30 br reamers.

the end of the neck is at 1.532 or so...why would anyone cut the neck so short ??..they enjoy trimming brass ??

the throat is very long with a 115 berger seated to 1.280 i am jumping 0.100. why so long ?? it is a 17 twist so maybe 125 at the top end ??yes no ??

the chamber makes no sense to me....but it shoots ok...i shot a 200-9x with it( 20 shot format)

should i give up and start over ??
it is a rem 700 action/mbr stock/ nf 12-42x and makes heavy var.

A Robinette 30BR chamber I believe has a length of 1.520". Trim length is generally 1.500". If your brass is 1.532" in a Robinette chamber, you've got a problem.

Second it's possible that it was chambered for bullets made on 1" jackets, instead of .925". Try something in the 117-125 grain range but make sure they are made on 1" jackets.

Plus 1 with what Dusty said. I have 3 Robinett reamers in my shop, and all three are different.. Isnt that MBR stock illegal for registered HV score?? Lee
