    The dreaded 2 and 1................

Thanks for this thread I'm fighting the same thing. We shoot score here and I'm doing it with a .269 ppc. Everything feels fine and I expect to see the dot disappear or at least a 10 and it's a solid 9 or maybe even the odd 8.It happens at least every 7 I started off swapping around scopes...

    Stripping Weaver T25 Scope.. Help!

It's not often re done and after seeing inside some scopes I highly doubt nitrogen stays sealed in there for very long in the first place. Can anyone shed some light on getting the objective apart? Mike

How old is my Remington Rangemaster 40X ?

Some old info I found a while ago and forever plagiarized: Remington Year of Manufacture Codes maybe found on the barrel of your Remington rifle [or shotgun] on the left side, just forward of the receiver; the first letter of the Code is the month of manufacture, followed by one or two letters...

    Stripping Weaver T25 Scope.. Help!

The back end and the lens carrier is easy. If you figure out how to take apart the objective let me know. There are 3 really small screws (I think they're screws) that go from the center out right next to the outer objective lens. Jackie probably knows how to get it apart. Here some pictures...

Jackie, please contact me about some machine work.

Machined steps, shrunk on and silver soldered to get the other gear on? Enough surface area? Mike

    Any snow pictures

I rent the club plane, a 1960's C172. Kyrie looks out windows and I make sure I don't fly in somewhere that I'll have a hard time turning out of. But up that high you're level with most of the peaks. Most of that was at about 7000' if I was another 1000 higher it's like that as far as you can...

    Any snow pictures

Got the wife to take some pictures with our new digital today on a short flight back into the coast mountains. It's almost always green on the coast here but going back a few miles is a different story. Here's the whole album...

I believe the shoe is further forward on the 600. They all fit though.

    The Saga Continues:

If it is really running free it should be the 60 hz that sets the speed not the voltage. Mike

    Best Factory Group Bag Gun

I shoot benchrest too you know but you didn't ask for any groups from those rifles. We shoot 2 types of matches at our club and that was a hunters shoot so 5 shots at 4 different targets and they very every month. Eg: prone 100, standing at moving target 50, leaning 200, sitting 20. No wind...

    Best Factory Group Bag Gun

I don't shoot it anymore since I built another 6ppc out of a long action Rem721 with the regular old factory stock, used the same .269 reamer as my bench gun. The ppc out shoots the 243 with the same old Lyman 20x. 721.... It's the action I had laying around so I used it. Mike

    Horizontal problems

This isn't horizontal stringing... for example at a 100y match yesterday it was shooting 10's and one out of them was a 7. And no it's not the same case that's making the flyer and it wasn't wind. I read the suggested post and did some testing with higher loads, 28.9 and 28.7 weren't so good...

    Horizontal problems

I'll go and read it. Wouldn't out of tune make a line or at least a long glob? This is one every now and then very random ... maybe every ... 5 to 25 shots -yes flags

    Wilson Bullet Seater Question---

The amount of pressure it takes to seat a bullet depends on the neck thickness of the brass, how much you sizer sizes the neck and how hard your brass is. Arbor presses are cheap. I've only used the non micrometer wilsons so I can't say why you are running out of adjustment.

    Horizontal problems

Joel, I'll do some load testing in the upper levels until I get some different powder. I've only got a couple of lbs of this new H322 left and about 1000 barts ultra. I'm going to swap scopes with an equally old Lyman All American Perma-Center 20x that I have here. Maybe it'll through them an...

    Horizontal problems

I'm not sure if you're hinting about shooting at the wrong time wind wise or if you're hinting that I'm pulling the shot over.... all I can say is the trigger is 2oz, the gun is 17.5 lbs and the only part of me touching it is my finger print. Mike
