The best thing I can say is find what your gun likes and get alot of it. if you practice with something else, its not going to act the same as the stuff your gun likes and your hold-off will be different also

I have a factory barreled suhl and with a tuner made it a little nose heavy. using a pappas rest the butt would jump a little causing the shot to go low. I mounted a spring on mine to keep the back end down.

It helps keep the butt from jumping when shot

Shooting indoors is completely different than outdoors, alot more thermals to throw the pellet around and no wind to stabilize them.
