Match fees ... Are they too high?

Dave, I would hope the NRA has changed its mind. It would be an interesting discussion between IBS officers and NRA in todays environment. Maybe we will see sometime. Stay warm! I wonder what record he set??

Match fees ... Are they too high?

Doc Garcelon... was a Lewiston ME native and dentist in Augusta, ME. He was a spark plug at the NRA national level as others have said, and also locally. He was actively involved in the Capital City Rifle and Pistol Club...Auguata, ME...where several IBS score nationals have been held and if...

Where can I buy a carry case for my Farley?

Farley sells one, or used to. I have one and its great! It's soft but T34 tank tough and you can cram in a lot of other things like elbow pads, etc.

    Fullfield II or Buckmaster?

Geeze.. thanks for the info. I am looking at a Burris vs. Leupold for a varmint rifle. Guess I'll buy the Leupold. American companies making goods in Communist China is...well...a terrible affront to free people. JMHO Tks --Greg

Thoughts on New NORMA 6PPC Brass

Mark... not sure this hasn't already been mentioned, but Lapua doesn't need to make 6PPC brass. 99.9999999999999999% of the 6 PPC benchrest shooting world uses the .220 Russian as a base case. That may change over time if Norma produces brass as good as Norma. Time will tell. I used to have a...

First NBRSA Registered Score Match - World Record

Rich... good shooting. If the NBRSA officially accepts score shooting I'm sure you will be among the contenders to establish a record.

    IBS Changes the Flag Rule

Paul, imho the tail is part of the flag...so if the tail is wafting into the shooting lane of another shooter, that flag is going to get laid down if I'm a ref. That's what the IBS wants and that's what we should expect. Now before you say, "that will never happen", it certainly did. Some...

Scope focus / parallax- eyeball it or by the numbers?

My Advice to someone who has a scope that is not in clear focus when the parallax is adjusted out(and you need to verify this is a constant malaise in all the temps and humidities(air is a gas throught which you look and it expands and contracts with temp)) and this bugs you, is to sell it and...

How Many NBRSA Regions Scheduling Varmint for Score Matches??

Bs? won't the group shooters have a field day with that! :)

    Spotting scope

The colors? There is no such thing as color. What happens in a refracting(lens system) telescope is that light is bent to bring it to a focus somewhere behind the lens objective. This bending separates the wavelengths of light. The different wavelengths of light that the human eye/brain can...

Lots of Varmint for Score In Gulf Coast Region

Not to butt in... but Dave, I'll side with Ron and bet you an Ol Hickory that he is right about total NBRSA hunter shooters, 2010 vs 2009.

    52 winchesters

I'll take a guess... and say the C, because Kenyon can modify that trigger without you having to buy a whole assembly. I have one he did and it is just superb.

What's Happening with the Beggs Cartridges?

Stephen none, unfortunately, if 1)no one switches to the Beggs and/or 2) none of the top shooters do. There is a healthy inertia in the benchrest shooting sports.

    Drill Press

I have an older Craftsman 1/2" chuck floor stand model that is very nice. Just don't buy Sears Chinese crap! Its bad for our economy, you are helping the economy of a totaliarian government. Otherwise, Merry Christmas!!

    Weaver scope repairs

Snuffy... this is great to hear, cause every one of the 4 I owned needed it. But, that's not any different than other brands. Leupold, for one, pays for the return postage.

Posting pictures of game - yes or no

Hunting... is a personal decision. Keep the results of the chase to yourself or your immediate circle of friends. I agree, this is a benchrest and general shooting site, not a hunting forum. Tks --Greg
