    Rifle-Basix for Remington 700

Triggers I have never used a rifle basix trigger but always have hea d good things about them. I did install a timney into a late 40s FN Mauser 06 I got from my FIL years ago. The factory trigger broke cleanly but at about 8 lbs. the timney literally improved the rifles accuracy significantly...

    "Stalking Rifles"

That is a beauty How it ended up in 6.5 MS? The original owner had class! That cartridge with a 160 grain Hornady roundnose makes a classic whitetail stalker. I Gene, I agree and would add the Tikka compact in .308.

New (1965)model winchester m70 heavy barrel target still in box

Find an early 1970s and look at it carefully, load and cycle it, fire it. IMO they are nicer than most any 700/800 rifle of today. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Are they as nice as a pre 64? No, but for the often seen price of around 350 they are a steal

Laser Bore Sighters Anyone use them ?

You guys do know that if the Earth is passing anywhere near a black hole (1000 megaparsecs or so) the laser beam will be bent and introduce at least 1/2" variation in POI once we scoot by the black hole  ps: thought we might see you and Butch at Damarariscotta today. Great day of rimfire...

Jeff, you can't help say it as IBS President, since you are. Just a quick comment....score shooting is about hitting something finite. Hitting, hitting, hitting. Best, --Greg

Diopter Adjustable ?? Whats it mean ?

Well, I would say they are talking about some kind of variable occular diameter? As in a rear peep target sight that has a lever to vary the diameter of the hole you are looking through. You got to be careful about advertising claims cause some tend to use technical terms loosely. Call them up...

    Gone in seconds

Think of this. How many times does the bullet rotate in 100 yards. Assuming a 13.5 lb gun, 22 inch barrel, 3000fps velocity, 118 gr bullet, the bullet's rotational velocity is 127,058 RPM. Since the travel time to the target at 100 yards is about .1 second, the # of times the bullet rotates...

    Jackie Schmidt

QUOTE=skeetlee;602671]I have thought about it a few times but just never did. I have also heard that they can mess with eye relief. I seem to crawl up on my stocks so eye relief is a big concern of mine. I think my Leupold 45x has to little of an eye relief for my likings. Some say they are the...
