most short range matches I attend, we draw benches. However, at the Nationals of either organization, drawing benches is unnessecary as we have full rotatotions. We change benches each time we go to the line. Since NBRSA shoots aggs in LR competition, maybe that would be a viable solution...

Hey Larry, we missed ya this winter. I shot them all winter in an 8 twist Bartlein, and I like them a lot. I jumped them a touch for a while, but ended up with more consistency when into the lands just a few thousandths. Anyhow, I shot them with Varget and Re15 in my BRX running just shy of 3000.

You'll need to do some measuring to get those numbers. Farley's of that vintage are not all the same...

I've had a Grizzly lathe for several years that has served me well. But I've got a couple buddies that had the same issue as you've had. Like you, they had no luck getting Grizzly to help them resolve the problem in any way. Both lathes were eventually returned and both went on to purchase...

I'm not in the market for a new lathe, but I've shot over to that site and am curious about their mills. What kind of quality does this company offer? Their mills seem to be very competitvely priced...

I for one would like to see pics without anything obstructing the groups. I've shot my share of small groups with a 30BR in competition, and think I could get a better idea without anything in the way.

I'm thinking of switching to the .257TED. It has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that it is head and shoulders...........well, maybe I'll give it a bit more thought.

I do just that, as do Allie and Lee Euber. It helps no doubt, but not enough for me to want to do it on a regular basis.

Paul's post didn't say what year the 30 BR took that match, I believe it was 2006. That is not the only occasion that a 30 BR has been used exclusively to win a 2 gun event. Matter of fact, a 30 Grendl and a 30-30 Win (no, I'm not kidding) have done the same in the last couple years. All that...

For the vast majority of the shooting fraternity, custom actions don't need no stinking work on them. But when you're a BR competitor, every little bit of accuracy needs to be squeezed out of your platform. Whether its the 2 gun at the SS, or 3 gun at the Nationals, most of the time, a few...

We aren't hunting here, we're shooting Benchrest. If you can't get all your shots on paper, well....you don't deserve to win anything. IMHO

IBS winter meeting is this Saturday, no matches are scheduled...that's why the match is scheduled whered it is.

I've shot my share of matches with both the 6PPC and 30BR over the last few years. Very few rifles on the line at any given match are in tune for for an entire agg. For the most part, the 30 is used in score, and the 6 in group. Generally speaking, Its easier for me to see when a gun is out of...

Actually Ron, Allie was the only shooter in the top 5 to shoot 2 guns in VFS. I believe that he and Lee were the only 2 shooters at the match to shoot 2 VFS guns. There is a 2 gun contested at the Bud every year, the Flying Fish trophy sponsered by Dave Halblom. That may be what Dick is...
