    Jimmie Shores first 250

Congrat's Jimmie! That's some great shootin', especially while being eaten alive by those famous Montezuma gnats. I hit one of those gnats once; the bullet bounced back and almost killed a shooter three benches down from me. ;) If you took both heavy classes in that crowd, you done good.

    S. Georgia Results 5-17-08

What a beautiful day for a match. Low 55 degrees, high 80 degrees, and a stiff switchy breeze all day long. A special Congrat's to Bob Collins on two fine Sporter scores, and Rod Collins on his Unlimited target. Maybe Rod will post some pics. Thanks to all who came, and all who helped with...

    Montezuma shoot on 5-10-2008

One problem with turnout, is opportunity. There are more matches and ranges to choose from than there used to be. With the price of traveling, you have to choose carefully, which ones you attend. Before, there was less opportunity. When someone held a sanctioned match within 2-3 hrs. of you...

The rain moved through just in time to shhot, and left us with a beautiful but "switchy" day. Some folks had it figured out. Thanks again to all who helped with the match. IR Sporter 1)Bob Collins 248-17X 2)L. Worthy Jr. 247-11X 3)Phil Deese 247-9X 10.5 lb. 1)Emery Smith...

Hoke Kerns a True Southern Gentleman

A Class Guy Fiddler's right, Hoke is a class guy. That was one good lookin' target. Thanks to Hoke, Keith, and all those others for handing out the free shootin' lessons all weekend. Just think how good they would all shoot if they had some of those fancy Ron McCormick wind flag stands. :D...

    Crawfish 2008

Thanks! A big Thanks to Thumper and Don for running the match, and to Phil and Don for running the targets. They even had to post and pull some in the rain. It takes a group effort to pull off a match this big. The food was great too. Thanks to the whole Gateway group.

We had a great day for SOTY#1. The wind was there, but nothing like it has been the last few days. The Lord blessed us with a beautiful 74 degree day. Mickey shot orange box ammo; I guess he was taking it easy on us. Thanks to all who helped with the match, and Congrat's to all the winners...

    Congratulate Fiddler....

Nice shootin' Steve Those are some good scores, wind or not. That must be some really good windy day ammo. You'll probably want to save it for the really windy matches. According to the extended weather forecast, the wind at this year's Crawfish will be "calm." :D
