    Savage LRPV in 22-250

The 9 twist is a winner with the 69 grain SMK's. Surprisingly accurate!!

    Savage LRPV

I bedded the action and then left the rear screw out. You really don't need it. That gun shoots GREAT! It likes the 69 grain SMK's. I personaly like them much tighter than 25 inch pounds, I set them at 65 inch pounds. Work them up to that evenly, don't tighten one to 65 then the other.

Sorting brass and bullets by weight

I pretty much agree with John. But to answer the other part of your question the electronic scale is the only way to go for sorting. If the only thing I had was a beam scale I wouldn't sort anything.

    Bullet jam How to Question

For $5 you can buy a modified case from Hornady, formally Stoney Point. If it is a wildcat caliber simply send them on of you cases and they'll modify it. That makes it about as easy as it gets to measure where the bullet touches the rifling.

    Savage Twist Rates

I worked up a load for a friend of mine in the 22-250 it too liked the 69 SMK VERY well. He wants to play with the 75 Bergers and it looked like they had promise. If it were mine I would leave well enough alone and shoot the 69 grainers. I would spend the extra $$ for the LRPV. I don't know the...

    220Swift inquiry.

I thought the same about saving pelts but I also thought the varmint grenade was pretty devistating. I have never shot them. I would only guess they are still pretty destructive at 3000fps.

    Friend Jackie Schmidt

For Petes sakes boys, Man Up. Mr. Calfee if you have a better way to install a tuner, tell us all. If you don't like to thread your barrel because you loose a 2% to gain 4% then the loss is yours. You lost 2% in accuracy unlike the fellas that are using the tuners who just gained 2%. There is a...

muzzle break on a .338 ultra magnum

KDF Break. Very effective. I'm shooting a 300 Tommahawk,300 RUM Improved with a 240SMK and it kicks way less than my 25-06. Your gonna have to deal with the dirt and stones. If your shooting varmints lay down a towel before you shoot. I know it's a little large for varmints but sometimes one...

    220 Swift vs 22-250 rem

I have a 220 that I wouldn't trade for the world. It's days are numbered with around 1800 rounds and it won't win a factory class at shoots anymore but at 1500 rounds not much would beat it if I did my part. No question at all what I'll rebarrel mine as. I also have a 22-250 in a light weight...
