    Flavio Fare Trigger

FF trigger I have this trigger in my recently Vudoo built V-22S rifle. It is by far the best and lightest trigger I have and I have a number of other after market triggers. The 24" Shilen and action is bedded in a McMillan Edge stock and is ideal for Benchrest shooting which is what this gun...

    What causes "Droppers"

I am thinking low velocity. Maybe weight sorting would help. One time I had an unopened box of Eley10X that when opened had two weights exactly .3 grains apart. I took one of each and pulled the bullets - they weighed the same - I weighed the powder they weighed the same - I fired the empty...

    .22 lr rim thickness

This is a question directed at the guys that measure rim thickness. I weight sort for my F-Class 22RF matches and am a believer. That said at the end of scooting the score targets I have gone back to the sighter target and fired a group using the high end and low end weighed ammo and usually...

    Vuddo V-22 barrels

Vudoo is making a 22LR repeater patterned on a Remington 40X. The barrels available they have in stock are Bartlein, Kreiger, and their own proprietor barrel called an Ace - all cut rifling. Any idea which would be the better choice? I'm leaning toward the Bartlein.

Thanks, I will endeavor to add more sand.

What to fill rear bag with?

I started filling the rear bag with heavy sand and was getting POA elevation changes between shots as the bag "bulged ". On Dusty's suggestion I changed over to playground sand and the POA elevation changes were worse and was getting some POI changes shooting my 284. So I'm back to heavy...

    Question on Federal UltraMatch

I ordered two additional cases of UM22 Ultra Match Thursday as my match members are wanting some more. The invoice that came as a result of the order listed the ammo as UM22A not the advertised UM22. I asked Bud's Gun Shop about the difference, if any, between UM22 and UM22A and got the...

    Question on Federal UltraMatch

Thanks guys, I shot the first informal match with the UltraMatch UM22 yesterday in very switchy 5-7 mph winds. NOT GOOD FOR TESTING, but it was what it was. I gave 10 rounds to any of my fellow shooters that wanted to test it in their guns - some did and some held it for a better day. My...

    Question on Federal UltraMatch

I spent some time over on Rinfire Central, but did not hear any definitive answers. Have any of you shot it and what is your evaluation? For the $7.99 per box I paid, I'm thinking a lower grade of RWS.

    Scope Power

When questions concerning equipment come up I always recommend coming to a match and observing and when appropriate asking questions. This will save you time and money when selecting your equipment.

    Cold weather shooting

Joe, no one answered your question. Next Thursday come out and try shooting with warm ammo. Temperature is forecast (as of today) is to be 35 degrees with a 2 mph wind. If your would like to see for your self if this works, also put a second box of ammo on the bench and let it cool off and...

    Our New Range

Really nice set up and your hard work looks GREAT. It's always easier to comment than do such a fine job as you have done, BUT... Being in Virginia have you thought about enclosing the area and putting a window in to shoot through. Would seem that it would be very nice to shoot in the warm...

Best method for increasing concentricity with loaded ammo

Press ad dies? You did not list your press or dies. I was having a run out problem using a RCBS RockChucker press and RCBS dies and found that a Forster press and Redding dies and pretty much cured the problem. I also have a Harrell's press that I use for PPC and 30BR with Whidden dies made...

    I am confused

Thanks I appreciate the time and thoughts in answering my question. I went back and re-measured the pressure ring and it is .308". And no, I have not shot any of the new bullet order yet, just watching the cold windy day, drinking coffee, and weight sorting bullets to check them. Tuesday...
