    30 br ore 30x47

Perhaps the OP is looking at the 30x47 for a format with a weight limit heavier than 13.5 lbs. I'd thought about a full 308 in the UBR unlimited class on days that the wind is bad.

    Scope Reticle locking devices

I have had zero problems with my LCS 45x on a 30. But, Shinny believes that he has, therefore, he needs to solve the problem. There are three methods: 1. Lock the scope up and use external adjustments. 2. Buy a different brand of scope. Preferably, one that the heavier recoil folks use. 3...

    Scope Reticle locking devices

Alternately, get them worked over by Leupold, sell them, and buy a March or a Nightforce.

Reverse (Release) Trigger on a Benchrest rifle

Former AA/26 yard/AA trap shooter here (and five gun AAA skeet shooter - better at skeet). Shooting trap, especially handicap, is as close to shooting a rifle as can be with a shotgun. People sometimes develop a flinch, not because of recoil, but because their mind refuses to accept the sight...

    30 br ore 30x47

Mike Stinnett would disagree with you, David. He is beating peoples brains out at both 100 and 200 with his 30 Stewart.

    powder trickle on digital scale

It was not a 30 BR. It was a 30 Stewart. The 30 Stewart is a modified 30 PPC starting from a 6.5 Grendel case. It is modified to the point that Mike gets 2980 fps using H4198 with BIB 114 gr bullets. Yes. I know. You can't get that much H4198 into a standard 30 PPC. There are advantages...

UBR at Buck Creek This Saturday.

No finer place to shoot, nor finer group of guys than Buck Creek. I had planned to attend, but am running my pooch in a trial in Spring City, TN.

    New guy question re: wind

Jerry, I don't think that the NSA is Google, myself. But, if you believe that the NSA has every search done by Google but not by the other search engines, you might think the NSA is stupid. They are obviously very bright and very well funded. If you truly want privacy, you're going to have...

    New guy question re: wind

Get aquainted with the JBM Ballistics program. You can learn a lot from playing around with it. http://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmtraj_simp-5.1.cgi You can also learn a lot by getting four "snow poles" or cheapo fiberglass fence poles from Tractor Supply and taping a couple of feet of...

How do you or how did you shoot older 8208?

Sounds like a 6 PPC and volumetric powder measure numbers. Those are common numbers. Of course, in a 6 PPC, you can't get 53 grains of any kind of powder in the case. Well, I guess you could get lead or tungsten powder like they use in golf clubs in, but that'd kinda defeat the purpose.

    Powder scale accruacy

You are confusing resolution and precision. The resolution on the 505 beam is 0.1 grain. One in decent shape is considerably more precise than that. As you say, you do have to have a scale with better resolution and at least as good precision to verify it. I do. There are benefits to...

Reslults and equipment lists for nationals?

I can only tell you that I've never received a shoot report or equipment list via mail whether e- or snail-. Only on the website.

    Powder scale accruacy

With a 505 or 1010 scale that's been kept in shape or tuned up, you'd have to be pretty sloppy to not beat 0.1 grain accuracy.

    Which Primer-6BR?

Strongly recommend 450s for the long-heavy bullets with stiff charges of Varget. You get piercing with the 205m.

Sounds like an opportunity for an 3rd party supplier.

    new brass

You will learn more visiting a match than talking about it on the web. You just flat don't know the questions to ask and we don't know you well enough to anticipate the harder ones. With that said, I see that you are in Central KY. You are smack in the middle of UBR territory. It's a great...
