    My first stock project

I had an idea last night. I thought about damming the area up and pouring accraglass in where I want to build the stock back up. The first photo is the stock, the second I shaded the area in where I wanted to build the stock back up. Is this a good way of doing it or is there a better way? Also...

    My first stock project

I have a stock coming in the mail that will need some areas built back up. What is the best substance to use? If it helps I will be building an area back up that is about .5in x .5in x 1.5in. Thanks, bored184

    Winchester 52-D grouping question

I have a Kimber 82G that I shoot benchrest with and it does the same thing. It usually takes about 3-4 shots to settle down, I am allowed sighters in ARA so this problem does not affect my score.

    bad barrels

How can you tell if the barrel on a rimfire has been shot out? All the riflings on rimfire barrels I have noticed seem to be shallow. Is this normal for rimfire barrels?

Need guidance regarding first purchase of accurate .22lr

my two cents I have been in the same position you have been. I have found the Kimber 82G from the cmp are an accurate rifle and for the price you cant beat it. For $600.00 you get the sights and manual as well. The down fall though is the trigger, its not bad if you don't mind it being about a...

    Bore Solvent

Thanks for all the info, my father and I have been wondering because we have recently bought a few used target rifles and they are dirty. We have been a little afraid to take a brush to them because we dont want to take a chance of messing up the riflelings. Thanks again

Your complaints on a Kimber 82G.

Thanks for the compliments. I put it on the bathroom scale last night and it just tips the scale at 14pounds. I do know that for IR 50/50 that the gun has to be under 13.5 pounds for there heavy class. I would have to loose about half the front plate to get down that low. As far as the plate...

Your complaints on a Kimber 82G.

Here she is. My Kimber 82G with a BSA Platinum 36X scope. The trigger has been reworked to be a reliable 14 ounces. It could of been worked lower but I don't like extremely light triggers for precision shooting. The front plate was made specifically for that gun by my father, he was also the...

Your complaints on a Kimber 82G.

I started this forum not to put down the Kimber 82G, but to find out why people don't like them and why they think that it wont make a good BR gun. Believe it or not I have ran across some that do not like them. I own one that shoots remarkably well. The triggers aren't good and could use some...

Your complaints on a Kimber 82G.

I want to know your complaints on Kimber 82G's. What you think about the triggers, barrels, etc. I know a machinist/gunsmith who is looking at one like a blank sheet and is wanting to make improvements. Thanks Bored184
