    Sunnen makes a number of honing oils for different applications, some have sulfur and some don't. Their MB30 honing oil has sulfur and animal fats, it works extremely well for cutting chambers.     +2 on what Jerry said. Digital are big a bulky. I call on machine shops everyday and I can't remember the last time a saw a good machinist use a digital mic.

    My guess is the pawn show based in Detroit is more main stream of pawn shops, pawn Stars is my favorite you got to love the old man. As for Sons Of Guns, I don't think they are doing our second amendment rights any good.

    A reamer has a relatively short cutting area. When it finds a kink or abrupt turn in the barrel left from the gun drill it will tend to follow it. The hone has a longer cutting surface and will bridge across these areas making a straight hole. I have seen many posts on this forum about these...

    A question about the Stoney Point/Hornady headspace gauge.

    NHK I think you are right. I used a .420" on my 6.5X47 to set the FL die to push the shoulder back .001" and it shoots some really nice groups. Your using it as a comparator I don't think the size matters, it just needs to be between .291" and .456".

    I agree with Larry I FL size every time bumping the shoulder back .001". With a stripped bolt the they chamber with no drag. I have been doing this for a few years and it seemed to eliminate the occasional flyers that I had.
