PSL Registration

No, according to an inventory that I got yesterday, there are some tenex lots remaining. But a lot of them have sold. However, Tenex is not the only good ammo.

Please expand, what else are the guys who will shoot at the PSL be shooting?

I don't know what they will shoot, but there is very likely to be Eley match, Eley Team, Laupua in various grades and probably some other ammo brands. It's there if you want it. Order some.

"I was just going by an earlier post by Bill Myers in my assumption"

You can't go by what other people say, especially when you are new. Ask Davis, Myers, Messer, and Brock all the same question and you're gonna get different answers.

Get off the computer and go shoot.

Charlie, you are correct that ammo is the weakest link, but, the switch to the railgun system is the biggest area for score improvement that can be controlled by the individual competitor...............Don

They're legal now in ARA and UNL. Nobody shoots them.

I was just going by an earlier post by Bill Myers in my assumption about the slower velocities being bought up by just a few folks and being regarded as the best by some, I assumed he was an authority.Am I wrong to think this??

Mike, no you are not wrong to think this, but like others have stated you will get different opinions. What works best for someone else may not be best suited for you at this time. Steve gave you the best advice, buy a case or two and get out and shoot the different conditions as much as you can to gain the confidence in yourself, your equipment and what the conditions are showing you. Don't get caught up in the hoopla, keep it simple.

The outdoor matches really cull out the luck. The top shooters could trade guns and ammo with you and still win. Of course that assumes you have a decent rifle that is matched to your ammo. I think I have some decent rifles and even occaionally win outdoors. The same gun/ammo combination just lay down on me indoors. I suspect the ammo and my skill are where my shortcomings come out indoors.
If you insist on a level playing field for equipment, we would all have to shoot the same rifle as well as same ammo. Sure would take a long time to get 70 shooters processed thru a 5 target match. The same 10 to 15 shooters would still be at the top. If you want to limit the rifles to factory rifles under $500: the serious shooters would buy as many $500 rifles as it took to find the best one. Football is played on a level field and some teams still dominate. Come on Cardinals!

Group Tightner

Charles Scott will pay $100.00 to any one who wins first place overall at any of the PLS shoots using the mid-barrel dampner I mfg. and sell.

Dan

15 more shooters between now and next Saturday, which I believe you will get more, and you'll have at least five relays. 20 minutes to shoot, 10 mins to change targets and equipment on the line, thats 30 min at the very least per relay. Thats 2 1/2 hours per target, times 5 targets, thats at least 9:30 PM at the earliest to finish and 6 relays will be midnight! I have never been to a match for that many hours and I'm thinking those invisible conditions will change over the course of the day.

Is protesting going to be allowed? If so How and when?

I can't wait!:D:D:D:D

Imagine that. Having to add a sleeping bag and cot to the rifle kit. Sure wish I could get to the first one at the barn. Bring it on and everyone have a good time. bob finger

Five Relays Six Relays?

Who Cares? The more the merrier!!!
Sounds like and will be a GREAT TIME--I can hardly wait!!

Sounds like rimfire is about to become and endurance sport!

The chance to stand around and learn from some of the world's best shooters is to be cherished indeed. I only wish that I could be at all of the matches in the series.

I want you who shoot in these to know that I have built Dan the scoring boards with the holes in them that he will be using. I am very glad to been of some help in this endeavor. I will be there in sprit.:)

Once shot a match at Tuckertown with seven relays. IR50/50, three targets. That was a long day! This sounds longer. Good luck to everyone, I'm sure it will still be a good time.

This is history

Saturday, January 31

Just one week until the first Professional Shooting League match in the Barn.

This may be the largest gathering of 22 Benchrest shooters ever for an indoor match. Maybe the largest 22 Benchrest Match in February. Whatever, it will be a good start.:)

I know that I speak for many when I say I wish I could be there with you all. I plan to be at the one in Waco.

How about a good play by play match report on this website of the results as soon as possible. And lots of photos.:)

Concho Bill

That is correct. The number of shooters for it are limited, so if you want to shoot it you need to contact Jeff Braun ASAP.

Hey Dan, I think there is a ARA match on Sunday after the PSL match is this
true??????? Walt::cool:

Sure hope our PSL relays don't run into their start time...

I'd be one sleepy shooter as I quit those all nighters 25+ years ago. :D
