MY 7mm Barrel SUCKS!!!

On the advice of several long range shooters, I bought a .314 chucking reamer and reamed the neck of my chamber out .001. The loaded rounds now have a full .003 total clearance in the neck.

It was easier for me to do that than re-turn all 100 cases, that have all been fired at least once. I initially turned the necks to .0134 wall thickness.

Curious, did you go back in with a throating reamer to make sure the throat was correct and pristine after the chucking reamer ???

Pat, I ran the chucking reamer in, by hand, untill it just touched the end of the original neck. It only took .001 out of the neck diameter.

Since the Rifle now shoots quite well now, I doubt I affected the chamber end. But I see what you mean, if a burr or something got left.

Here is the reamer guide assy I made to allow the reamer to go in dead straight.
