Kalifornia Gunsmith

Maybe if you shoot competitive you will have a better idea of what I want. Or maybe you are one.

First there are gunsmiths and then there a BR quality gunsmiths, which I am looking for.

I no longer want to ship rifles by UPS, USPS or FEDX period.

So I am looking for a gunsmith in the state of California.

Driving 200 to 400 miles is no big deal to pick up or deliver.

Any recommendations?

Thank you

Don,

I think they're engaging in a filosophical debate.

By the way, aren't you still working as a (California) BENCHREST gunsmith?

I am pretty sure it's Commiefornia...

Having the misfortune of living there myself. I believe Lee Six still has a shop in The San Jose area.

Kommiefornia,
Nothing against the shooters, friends, or family that I have there.
A lot of good BR smiths there. Don Nielson is one of the best.

Have Swartzenidiot give us Texans a call when he needs us to bail out his state. Probably won't be much longer before he makes the call to someone.
Sorry I can't help with the gunsmith question.
Not a political post, a financial one.

This may have been posted before, but it appears that any FFL shipping into California needs to register with the state and obtain a letter of approval from them prior to making the shipment.

No wonder people there are looking for an "in- state" gunsmith... And it sure discourages anybody in another state (such as myself..) from doing business there...

Tuck away and

hard to find. That they are.

One of the reasons these guys are in hiding is some of the idiots they have to deal with as customers.

As far as the other comments..........good grief.

Merry Christmas.

Run do not walk to Don's door!

Now boys it's almost Christmas. Don

Become Don's best customer, you will not go wrong. Think about moving into his neighborhood, so you can be close.

PM Don so you can get a map to his shop, and a contact number.
:D

more like REALISTIC attitude

I would be willing to help on BR gunsmiths in California and out West but you need to drop that 'K' reference. I live and shoot BR in California so do the Prez and VP of the NBRSA.

Kalifornia, in which I was born and where I've lived my entire life, is hardly the Golden State, unless you are a liberal, big government loving, personal responsibility hating knucklehead.

Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, and Nancy Pelosi are supposed to represent us? What a sick joke.

Kalifornia has nice weather, and it's possible to make a good income here. Whether that translates to a good living depends on your circumstances. Kalifornia now as compared to what it was pre-89, is a disgrace.

As to gunsmiths who are still in-state, try Mac Tilton of MT Guns, in Santa Barbara, and Stu Harvey in the Sacramento area. There's a dude in San Lorenzo who should be avoided, despite his advertising for years in Precision Shooting magazine.

O-K, I live here--

And it irks me when someone misspells or incorectly pronounce the name of this state.
The correct spelling should be Kalifornicacha. As we are already being pollinated by our elected officials. You can probably figure out the enunciation.

Land of the over educated IDIOTS.

Happy Holidays !!

Steve Moore

You can rule out

Mr. Harvey. He smiths for himself and a select group of friends only.

The correct spelling should be Kalifornicacha.

The socialists have given way to the extremists.

The new State name for Kalifornicacha is simply Kalistan.

Which part of the Golden state are you fortunate to live in?

Have you considered buying a lathe and doing for your own self? It could be very gratifying to shoot your own lightning stick. It is a great learning aid to shooting better..

Just a thought.. for a considrate Kali4nian.

:)
