Bill,
(Five shot the so called "Factory class" and five shot the unlimited class.)
So how did you advertise to get your first 5 shooters?
(The scores ranged from 235 to 245)
So these were the factory rifles? If so not to bad.
(Jan Sedivy won first place in all three matches)
So curious what was Jan's equipment setup, rifle, scope, ammo?
Les
Last question first: Jan's rifle was a beautiful Savage / Anschutz 64 with some kind of variable scope on it that went up to 18 or 24, I think. His ammo was Wolf or SK or something like that. No one used premium, even though it was allowed. Two piece rest.
Jan's scores were: 242, 245, and 242. The second place shooter had a CZ 452 American with a trigger job, Wolf ammo, big variable scope, and a two piece rest. His scores were 238, 242, and 242. Just to compare, my score on the official 50/50 target with my rifle with all the benchrest stuff, 40X action, Schilin barrel, Tuner, Pappas rest, Eley black box, Weaver T-36 scope was 243, 245, and 246. It is interesting how comparable the scores in the Factory match were to the UL 50/50.
I am sorry I missed getting one of the rifles identified but the other two were a Anschutz 1416 and a Remington 541.
I advertised by sending our regular E-mail notice to the list of people who have shot with us or have expressed interest in our game. There are 32 names on the list and I told them what we were doing and asked them to try it out if they could.
No one cheated and we all had fun.
