    Insult to Injury:

I am also not a big fan. Fed Ex much more reliable and easier locations and service to pick up delivery if restricted for a signature.

newbie question about the bench setup at my range

I strongly suggest a drummer's stool or throne with height adjustment. I got one because of the problem you encountered with the added "benefit" of neck pain after I finished. As others have said, I can't imagine a range with that much of a slope at the benches.

    Bore cleaning discoveries?

    1. I would suggest a dedicated copper and a dedicated carbon remover, for guns or otherwise. 2. As to weights and such, I am still scratching my head with machinists' terminology when they speak of two and not two one thousandth of an inch. Fotheringill n/k/a Still Befuddled

    $50 Borescope

I have had one since around Christmas. I got the $79 +/- model. It work. Mine also hooks up to my phone. You can see all you want/need to see with it. Now, a few questions- 1. Do you know what you need to do cleaning wise or when tossing away the barrel is the best option. 2. Which part of...

Thank you all. BTW- I know it takes a lot of work and practice and am willing to put in the time, now that the Ratigan book is within financial reach.

Book on Reading Wind Flags 100-200 yards Please

Is the Tony Boyer book "The Book of Rifle Accuracy"? The only Ratigan book ("Extreme Rifle Accuracy") has a price of $800+ on Amazon. I am not poor but am a cheap SOB. Kyle- Thank you for your prompt post.

I am not doing this the "easy way". I have searched the net and Amazon and cannot seem to find a book on the subject. Are there any recommendations other than "take up another sport". All replies are welcome.

New to Benchrest - Optics Question

Andy Cross above hit it on the head. Also- 1. Unless you want to spend an inordinate amount of time finding your target board with a fixed power high magnification scope get a variable powered scope. Sightron makes a good one in 10-50 power. If you need to step up the quality, be prepared to...

    Caldwell The Rock BR

I use the bottom only and had a Greenlaw top made and threaded to be able to use with the Caldwell base. Top is inadequate at best and I ain't that fussy.

Is this B S or What?

Incorrect. It is New York City, not New York. My tax dollars at work.

Leupold or Sightron, which to buy?

Check warranties from each before purchase. You might be surprised. I have two Leupold 45x45. No problem, except it is a PITA to acquire the target when setting up.

Lyman Gen 6 powder measure flaw

Because I am a stupid head (after reading the first few posts here at the time) I ordered and received one. 1. Averaging every 50 dispenses, 40 or so are .1gr short, 7 are on the button, and 3 are .1 over. 2. On/off press screen button needs to be played with to operate. 3. It is a PITA to...

    Reasonable Shipping

Try Amazon first. If you have Prime, no shipping for orders that say Prime. Otherwise, bite the bullet, so to say, and order from Sinclairs once you have an order large enough to justify the shipping charge.

I wold be very interested since I was about to order it at Sinclair. I can easily switch to another company at around the same price.

    Tuner Advice

I JUST started messing around yesterday. I have one setting using the Hopewell method done only with one weight and one setting using Purdy PR, which requires the small weight. I have the three weight set and found another almost perfect setting using one large weight and a pretty good one...
