    The flat side on scopes.

Hi all. Is it your experience that the flat side on Leupold scopes or the flat underside, are pararell to the crosshairs? Or, the top of the screw on cap? What about on other brands? Thanks in advance.

    Mini Mauser project

I have such a beast. The trigger is crap but useable. I chambered it in ,204 Ruger and get decent accuracy from but the magazine never worked. That is, the rounds just pop up when I try to stuff it. Why would that be? And Timney dont make a trigger for it any more :(

    AR disconnector

Well it's not what I was wondering about. I've allready made a trigger with out the spring after the AR7 trigger and it works fine. Was just wondering what is gained in having the disconnector spring loaded.

    AR disconnector

I know how it works, was just thinking like in the AR7 trigger the disconnector is a part of the trigger and works the same way.

    AR disconnector

Am I right in that the spring in the disconnector on AR type triggers is only to lessen the "punch" when the hammer hammer slams against it? I notice that the AR 7 has a non spring loaded hook for instance. Thanks.

    Turning down or shortening.

Thank you for your reply Jakcie. I am a machinist and a gunsmith and aware of stresses and heat warping. How ever that's not a problem taken the right precautions. This rifle has a very special purpose wich is to shoot at max 250yards at varmints so a little loss of velocity wont hurt. Accuracy...

    Turning down or shortening.

Hi all. I have this rifle I made years ago. In ,257 AI. Not a benchrest rifle but easily a 1/2" shooter. Thing is for giggles I made it with a 1,250" barrel the whole 28" So its heavy. So I was wondering. Velocity is not an issue so wich would you recommend to lose weight: Shortening the barrel...
