    260 remington

I think that would be an excellent choice. I would probably go with one of the improved versions probably the 6.5 BJ. If you do much shooting in Eastern Nebr. you may know Jeff Shultz, he has had pretty good luck with the BJ. James

Does anyone use a 10-50x Sighton on bigger caliber rifles?

I have one on a 7mm SAUM Light gun and one on a 30 HSM (30-375 Ruger) Heavy gun, both have muzzle brakes. So far no issues with either of them. James

    338 Lapua Build Question

Randy, I have a Ruger No.1 338 Lapua, 28" PacNor barrel no Issues yet with it. I don't load it to the point of loosening primer pockets either though. Shoots well too. Nothing wrong with going the custom route either. Don't overlook Defiance machine. Glen Harrison makes some fine actions. James

    re-chamber

The 80 grain boat tail may be a little long. Having said that. I shoot 75 grain V-Max bullets out of my 6BR with a 1 in 14 twist barrel. It is very accurate out to 600 yards.
