If you shoot groups a lot, you may consider buying a group measuring devise to put on a caliper if you have one. You can buy them from Hart and son or Sinclair I believe.

Sounds like fun! Living down here in LA (Lower Alabama) we have many days of mild weather through the winter to shoot in, but ya get North of I-65 and it gets too cold to have any fun till spring.:p

Tom I have both style tuners on my guns. The harrel that I have weights in at 8.8 oz bare with no extra weight. The Von Ahrens that I have weights in at 3.8 oz bare with out the bloob or 1/2oz cap.

RvA Tuner I bought one about 2 months ago and it was very simple to tune. I didn't have a clue, so I proceeded to tune just as Roger is describing. It seemed just a logical way to go about it. I watched the vertical until it got to nill and then started to increase, then back to it's nill point...

Todd Wish I could be there, the weather sounds great. I know that sounds crazy, but this morn when I left for work at 5:30 AM it was 80 deg. and 95% humidity down here in lower LA (Alabama). Oh, it was still dark too! Venison chili sounds great, ya'll shoot straight!
