Well let ask this question. Has anyone successfully done this and helped out the accuracy of an older Anschutz?

I was thinking about having my older Anschutz 1977 1613 rechambered to a Eley Match chamber. What's the % that this will help. What should be the avg. cost for having this done? It seems to like Eley ammo the best. That's why I was thinking fo having this done.

Is there any handly fees or just shipping?

Is good ammo necessary? To me yes. I bought a good gun to see how good I could get it to shoot. That's not going to happen with cheap ammo. No way no how, cheap is cheap and your not going to change that by sortng it. Now if you got your gun to see how good you can get cheap ammo to shoot then...

I think if you closely at other brands of good ammo you will see that Eley isn't the only one using silica. They are the only one willing to tell you they are using it.

Was this shooting free recoil or was this shooting by pinning the gun? I've found that shooting a .22 rimfire free recoil doesn't work in a gun with a 27 in. barrrel. I believe the gun moves long before the bullet get out of the barrel. I've been shooting lately by trying to control the...

I've been looking at stocks. Most factory stocks the forearm isn't straight in line with the butt end of the stock. I see with BR stocks they are. Does this make a big difference when shooting benchrest. Here's a couple of picture of what I'm talking about.

Sounds like a good idea. I was thinking of doing something like that, just not sure what. The forearm is mostly rounded with a little flat on the bottom with about a inch wide with a rail in it. I need see what I can come up with that will hook up to the rail. :)
