Results Montrose Air Rifle Club Saturday August 9th-Scoreline

You are your club are definitely raising the bar Mike. Your scores, and your teammates, are substantially higher than what I'm seeing from the rest of the world. Would you care to share your opinion why you have had such success in so short a time? Do you feel your gun has an inherent accuracy...

    2014 USARB Nationals, The Aftermath

Well put Jim, I agree 100%. While I have never been to a match that uses electronic scoring as it stands now I have no interest in attending one. Dan

    Possible new barrel order

If you are interested in a .177, stainless steel, .75" OD, lapped, choked, US made barrel, let me know. They won't be cheap, over $400 for a blank. There will be a substantial risk, this is new idea and I can't make any guaranties that they will be as good as the super barrels. What I expect to...

    Electronic Triggers

I have no problem with electronics in airguns, hell I'm even designing one now. My only concern is remote triggers used in matches. I can only imagine the uproar that would ensue if I showed up at a field target match with a remote trigger. Dan P.S. Mike, please don't take my stand on this...

    Electronic Triggers

My feeling is that the game should entail at least a little bit of physical skill. A remote trigger would allow one to fire the gun without actually having any part of their body in contact with it. If your finger, palm, and cheek are touching the gun then you need to be aware of breathing...

    Electronic Triggers

I can't see the advantage to the sport by ruling out electronic guns. I can understand banning remote triggers that allow one to fire the gun without even touching the gun but a trigger on the gun whether mechanical or electronic makes no difference. How do you define an electronic gun? What if...

Holbrook Results Feb.1 BIPM and USA Scoreline

I suspect the guns were warmer than the ambient air and that was affecting visibility due to thermals. Dan

Holbrook Results Feb.1 BIPM and USA Scoreline

Thanks Paul for holding the match. The mirage was definitely difficult. Strange thing was that right after a shot it cleared. I discovered if I blew hard along the barrel it would go away for a few seconds. The new super stardestroyer regulator for the Sumo appears to work well. Here are a few...

Wind doping / hold-off, also compare cal. and fpe hold-off. ( 25m World target )

I think you will find that when you travel to different venues what works for a condition in your backyard may not be the same at the shoot. I feel the best approach is to shoot plenty of sighters and gauge the current conditions. If you find an unpredictable condition try not shoot during it. Dan

Holbrook Results 12/7/13 Chris or Pete are you missing your Air Tank?

Thank you very much Paul for holding the match, it is appreciated. Boy I wish I knew on relay one what I knew on relay 6. The barrel I used in the last three relays has shot 250s with four different pellets now, JSB 8.4, 10.2, CPH, and HN 10.6. It is the best all around barrel I've ever used. Dan
