    Stop the Universal Background Check.

I'd never say this on AR15.com, because I'd get called a fu**ing %$#! over there by the Rambo types. But frankly, something has to be done to prevent gang bangers from readily and EASILY buying guns at the gunshows, or letting their girl friend or somebody else do a straw purchase for them...

Shipping to an FFL has even tightened up..

It seems the confusion here is with the definition of the term "carrier". If "carrier" includes to the US Postal service, then your declaring the firearm inside the package is required. They can still request to inspect it, as well as to see the FFL copy. While you may be right that my...

    feinstein bill

Democrats, liberals and minorities have destroyed this once proud and great nation. The "turncoat" Republicans (as you term it) are nothing more then politcians simply trying to survive in a shrinking conservative constituency that didn't even have enough votes to even elect a good prudent...

    feinstein bill

Mass marches accomplish nothing. The media minimizes it, the politicians ignore it, and the liberals counter it with their own demonstrations. Was anybody here really impressed with the Million Man March?

    What is going on?

Surely, none of you were so young 4 years ago when Obadman got elected the first time that you don't recall what happened? I'm here to remind you that the severest duration of the shortages lasted one year, and shelves did not return to normal inventory stock until 1 1/2 years...

Shipping to an FFL has even tightened up..

You can do anything you like UNTIL YOU GET CAUGHT. Just because the Post Office clerk and his/her supervisor are ignorant to the rules (as in my experience they always are) does not mean that you can just box up anything you like, not say a word about it, and ship it off how and where you like...

    The AR Alternative

I always get a kick out of the guys with the bumper stickers that read "Come and get them!"....or..... "From my Cold Dead Fingers" LOL. There's a gunshop around the corner from me that has that "Come and get them!" slogan painted accross the length of the owner's car! Sadly.......[B]that's...

    boring bar

Pardon me guys....but being a part time casual target shooter who doesn't engage in this kind of craft to ever use these terms, I couldn't figure out for the life of me why the OP would choose to place this topic here instead of posting it in the general discussion forum. Before clicking into...

Can I use Rem 700 LA BDL for the 6.5 Creedmoor?

Well, I gave myself an $800 answer to that question today and bought me a new SA donor via a Remington VSF 308. If anybody cares to know, it seems even with 6.5 VLD bullets seated out above the case shoulder, the 6.5 Creedmoor will still function fine with a SA.

Can I use Rem 700 LA BDL for the 6.5 Creedmoor?

I already have a nice stainless .270 Rem 700 LA BDL donor rifle. I was wondering if even the longest VLD 130 and 140 grain bullets seated far out of the 6.5 Creedmoor case would still not justify using a long action. (?) If using a long action is just going to be totally unecessary when a SA...

Second Amendment Victory: 71-Year-Old Saves the Day

I'm glad about the positive outcome, because as Louis.J stated; "This gentleman possibly saved some lives and or severe bodily injury to the innocent." However, did any of you CHL holders out there (like myself for one) catch the very important sublime message and lesson to be learned from this...

Are there any ported muzzle brakes that can be contoured down with the barrel?

My smith says "Get a 9/16" by 28............ or a 5/8" x 24 if you think you might ever put a supressor on it". I don't plan on a suppressor. While I'm inclined to follow his advice and not dictate machining details to him that I know nothing about, I'd still like your professional opinion if...

Leupold 45x won't stay in focus.

It seems a lot of companies want to deny any product or servicing problems so that they can erroneously report a low rate of defects with their products. You didn't say whether or not the problem was still there or not when you got your scope back from the factory service department. It is...

Are there any ported muzzle brakes that can be contoured down with the barrel?

Dunno. I just know what the websights are saying, and the folks who are answering the phones and selling them are saying. I feel fortunate to have found that one place who just happens to size them to the Remington Sendero barrel diameter. I'll be sure when I order my barrel that it's diameter...

Are there any ported muzzle brakes that can be contoured down with the barrel?

Thanks for the tip. While I would have preferred 90 degree ports instead of ports slanted back at the shooter, that's plenty close enough and inexpensive too. The guy states on that websight that he also purposely designed it to be turned down to the Remington Sendero contour of between . 810"...

Are there any ported muzzle brakes that can be contoured down with the barrel?

I think if a Magna-Port style system was to be put into a hunting rifle that was intended for a couple of hundred shots in its life, that could be a consideration. But I'm not sure I feel comfortable having slots cut directly into a precision brux target barrel with the copper jacketing...

Are there any ported muzzle brakes that can be contoured down with the barrel?

I'm looking for a side ported variety of muzzle brake that can be machined down to about .805" with the contour of a Remington varmint barrel. The narrowest Holland straight "QD Brake" available is .850" diameter and I was told it needs to stay close to about that diameter. So, it's too thick...

Remington 6 1/2 small rifle primers

For many years through much of the 1970's and 80's the 6 1/2 "small rifle" primer was commonly the only Remington rifle primer that was available to me at all the area gunshops. At that time I preferred the Remington name to the only other common name available out there which was the CCI 400...

Chambering the 6.5x284 in a 700 LA repeater?

I was wondering if a 6.5x284 cartride could be made to chamber and feed from out of the 700BDL LA magazine well.

What brass are you using for your 7-08 ?

Thanks gents for the helpful input....especially you Mr. Elliot. Whenever I see your name on a post in my thread, I've come to expect your input to be objective and detailed.....and polite too. Sometimes when I visit BRCentral as the lone none-competing paper puncher that I am, I get subtle...
