Can I use Rem 700 LA BDL for the 6.5 Creedmoor?

I already have a nice stainless .270 Rem 700 LA BDL donor rifle. I was wondering if even the longest VLD 130 and 140 grain bullets seated far out of the 6.5 Creedmoor case would still not justify using a long action. (?)

If using a long action is just going to be totally unecessary when a SA would properly feed and extract even the longest 6.5 CM cartridges in repeater mode, then I'll just dump my LA rifle and get me a SA rifle instead.

Well, I gave myself an $800 answer to that question today and bought me a new SA donor via a Remington VSF 308. If anybody cares to know, it seems even with 6.5 VLD bullets seated out above the case shoulder, the 6.5 Creedmoor will still function fine with a SA.
