    Bridgeville results question

Larry, Dean and I were standing there looking at the results and I stated that I thought the tiebreaker went back to group agg, so Larry would have won it. They went by X count to break the tie. I know score records are broken by group agg, so that's why I assumed it would be the same at match...

105 vld different bearing surface lengths??

I'm guessing a little, as I don't know Berger's routine. Anyhow, I surmise that each time they have to set up a machine to go from one bullet to another, it's impossible to get everything lined back up exactly the way it was the last time they made a run. I've got several lots of the same bullet...

    Fairfax Group match

Due to some scheduling and other issues, the IBS group match scheduled for May has been rescheduled for the weekend of Sept. 25-26. This will be our first full 2 gun match. The range has 28 of the finest concrete benches in the region. We have room to hold about 10 loading trailers/campers, but...

    Custom Stock

Adrian, The two rifle builders mentioned by Butch, Jim Kobe and David Christman, are in very exclusive company when it comes to gun builders. Most of us hacks couldn't dream of doing the kind of work they perform. If you would go over to the gunsmithing forum on accuratereloading.com, you will...

    Tuners some info.

I dunno for sure but...Truth is, I've given tuner weight a lot of thought over the last few years, and I've made them in weights from 3.5ozs to about 9ozs. This past weekend, I shot a couple 600 yd matches with an 8oz tuner that I made earlier in the week. All but one of the tuners I've made for...

    Tuners some info.

I've got a couple sporters myself Gene;). And while it is a bit more difficult to make a balanced rifle with a heavier tuner (mine are 5.6 - 5.7 ozs), it can be done. My setup utilizes a special contour that I came up with just for 10.5lb guns. My rifles balance very nicely with around 5ozs of...

    n550

Funny thing Randy. I remember a couple years back, PVI telling me that N130 had been discontinued. I went for quite some time believing that and looking all over the net for the last of the stuff. Well, I ended up getting 8 jugs from somewhere, thinking I had the last of that great powder. They...

    Don't lap your lugs

I'm with Dennis. Lapping was created by gunsmiths that didn't have the knowledge or tooling to properly true an action.

    Tuners some info.

FWIW, I pay no attention to atmospheric conditions. I twist the tuner (and change the load occasionally) when the target tells me to.

    Tuners some info.

I don't know Gene well, but I've visited with him at Kelbly's a few times. He is just exactly as Butch describes. I can't imagine meeting a nicer gentleman than Gene Beggs.
