There are folks around who can and do slug and lap barrels to make them shoot like hummers. So the question comes, has anyone ever slugged a Hummer and if so, how did it compare to the usual barrel?

If one has a dudd primer, the gun won't fire. This happens occasionally.

Knowledge continues to be learned. Folks continue to scientifically find out stuff, folks continue to shoot long strings of shot to prove stuff. Th LD community has given us a lot over the last few years. Also, engineers, more of them are involved now, this hasn't hurt anything. :)

I think a lot of people who have Hummer barrels don't realize they have one until it quits shooting, the magic doesn't last forever. Quiet often folks shoot them out because they shoot so well they just love shooting them, offer others a few shots and so on. They are few and far between. There...

Years ago, there was an article in Precision Shooter in which was an interview with Tony in which he discussed this issue. More to it than a great memory.

They matter but they are no comparison to a barrel that will shoot any reasonable thing one puts in it. Prolly will find more folks with good bullets but they don't compare

In my ideal world, dies and neck bushings would all be carbide and all chambers no turn. If I didn't have a ton of prepped cases, I would start over and go no turn.

I would doubt it. I shot a 6BR 14 twist and 67gn bullete in an HBR rifle for a couple of years and I found it to be either on or off. I won 4 matches with it over two years and a couple of them decisively but most of the time, it was OFF. There must be an issue with it being Overbore or...

I bought some 100gn Speeds way back from Bob White that shot devinely :). Too bad they went away :(

Something I noted from the N-120 test, The bolt lift got heavy at the same numbers I was using with LT-30. I only ran the one string though. When I get back in the spring I will try it some more. New zero freebore reamer that has shown tendencies to make the bolt lift a bit heavy.
