    Wichita action, Seely Masker gun

Justin, If you ever decide you want to send 17L back east, I will go it. I could build a 6BR. Just saying. I have a good smith out in CO that has experience with them. Just remember, I am a poor retired Deputy Sheriff, not some high falutin California cop! So keep the price reasonable!

    what happened around here?

That is the impression I got too. Seemed like a lot of guys aged out, and those who really knew what they were talking about and were willing to be helpful got tired of a few guys who (some still) just blabber on and try to stir a pot. I only stop in now and then because I posted interest in...

    What to do with these?

I had/have had one similar to that. It was a 6BR with coned bolt. I put it in a wood 40X stock with a 28 inch braked Hart barrel. It shot well. I say had, have had...in that a buddy owned it, i bought it, then sold it back to him, then bought it again, then sold it back to him. I plan to...

    Superior Action Rifle, Dryden NY

Well I confirmed that the #5 was once Becky Sinclair's rifle. When I bought it I did not know that. It wasn't until I racked #7 and #5 side by side that I thought...wow...they are sisters. I looked back at an email from Fred confirming #7 was his, and in it he mentioned he had two...

    speer tnts

I use 50 gr TNT in 222. The duece is not a slammer. But the bullet performs well, quarter size holes if I hit the head, no hole but darned dead on upper body shots. No complaints from me, and no groundhogs complaining either.

    John Ambler

I recently acquired an old Superior (Ross Sherman) LV/HV BR rifle. After some research, it appears it once belonged to Becky Sinclair in the early 1980's. When I got it, it had an unknown barrel chambered by Bib's Machine in CO in 6x50. I kept asking myself "What is it"? So it became a 6x50...

Loren! I sent a PM, but this is a public thank you for reaching out. I have been trying to reach you via phone a few weeks ago. i am amazed at the "smallness" of the shooting world, and this thread reinforces that. But within this group of folks I am finding some of the kindest, most...

    John Ambler

Ok, it is possible that the person I am looking for is John Amber... What I was told is that John Ambler (Amber) once owned this rifle that I now own. This info came from Bibs Machine out in CO, but I can't seem to raise them after trying about ten times last week. (Maybe elk hunting??) I'm...
