    CF Tuners, where to buy?

Translation I believe this is what Bob said: Some time ago I am looking and it seems that clamp-on center for fire is not suitable. I got them for BR50 on a .22 For center fire will screw you over must be cut and you know how the Dutch law is in that area. Have you been in PPC? Francis Good...

    CF Tuners, where to buy?

Can use set screws Pete-I agree--I personally use the nylon screws to make easy to adjust at bench but I also provide 2 10/32 ss set screws and 2 lead pellets that can be sued to retain tuner--only drawback is one has to use allen wrench to loosen set screws when adjusting the tuner.

    Tuner Weight

Tim, Butch, Lynn I agree that ahead of the muzzle does more for changing shape and moving node--however, for the way I am using them, the behind muzzle position works best for me. More or less of a fine tune. I prefer to keep the POI shifts small. Jim

    Tuner Weight

Front versus rear Lynn I have tried ahead of and behind muzzle and found that both work--however, behind the muzzle worked better for me (less shift in POI for adjustments to the tuner) Jim

    Tuner Weight

works on LV with March I am using a Bartlein barrel that weighs 5# complete with 4 ounce tuner installed on LV with March scope--works well. As Jackie pointed out--heavy tuner not needed if you have a barrel taper that works for you and you get a load that works the tuner keeps it in tune (if...

    Tuner Weight

Brass Tuners Pete These 4 ounce +/- tuners have been working fine for me. It takes more movement to make drastic shift in tune--but that is what I wanted as it gives a wider "window" of tune so that small changes in tuner position does not make large impact on POI or tune. Jim

I know I'm not supposed to let ammonia sit in a barrel.

coated versus submerged Coated versus submerged is worse situation for ammonia on 416. I guess based on the "scientific" test results I have seen here, I will have to let the ASM know that there are new, improved tests available that would now let 416 SS be used in ammonia applications in pulp...

I know I'm not supposed to let ammonia sit in a barrel.

Dennis Try it with a piece of 416R SS as well.......very different result may come out of your test

I know I'm not supposed to let ammonia sit in a barrel.

Two different concepts Dennis Two different concepts. Some steels have a higher tendency to corrode with weak solutions of certain chemicals and exposure to oxygen than a strong, immersed solution. What I am talking about is the chemical action that takes place--not the drying of the steel...

I know I'm not supposed to let ammonia sit in a barrel.

Not sure about the "myth" Dennis Being encumbered by being a mechanical engineer that spent most of his career in the Pulp and Paper business, I certainly would not state that ammonia corrosion of 400 series SS is a myth............you can not use 400 series stainless in a pulp or papermill to...

Pressure pot gun What Dave says works and the use of a dual pressure gun works even better for the Polane. You adjust atomizing and pot pressure to get the stringy effect.
