Has anyone used HBN on rest and/or rear bags?

Hello Randy Happy new year. I did try some silicone spray, it was the hardware store variety and of unknown purity. I have thought about trying some of the "Pure Silicon" from Sinclair but the HBN & mica has worked so well for me that I went on to other issues. What can you tell me about...

Has anyone used HBN on rest and/or rear bags?

Boyd I have used HBN and mica mix on "Cordura" and "Ultra Fabric" bags and found it to be the best thing that I have tried to date. I use a plastic salt shaker with a lid the kind that is used for camping. Just sprinkle the "Fairy Dust" on the bags and rub it in with your finger. It beats...

Has anyone used HBN on rest and/or rear bags?

Boyd I started out with baby powder, then mica, then HBN. What I found works best is a 50/50 mix of HBN and mica. I use this on my front and rear bags which are the Cordura type. I live and shoot in Maine where it is damp or humid most of the time and this "Fairy Dust" as one of my shooting...

    Difference in primers

Good question Pete Last spring I wanted to blow out some brass, primers were hard to come by so I didn't want to use up my good Federal Match primers just to blow out brass. I decided to try some small pistol primers and couldn't see any noticeable difference vs using small rifle primers. I am...

    Joystick Coaxial Rests ?

Don For what it's worth, I am new to this sport (third season) and on a very tight budget so I had to think long and hard about spending $850 for a Farley rest. It has turned out to be one of the best investments that I have made and I am VERY happy with it. As mentioned, be sure to order the...

    Oil or Grease ?

After dissemmbley and cleaning my bolt, from a Panda action, should I use a grease or an oil to lubricate the spring and internal parts of the bolt ? Some have said to use grease, others to just use oil. In the words of a fellow shooter from Maine, "What say ye" ? Thanks, Dick

    Cardboard backing

Homosote I have a 100yd range at my home and do a lot of shooting there. Over the years I have tried everything that was free or cheap and have found that in the long run homosote was the best choice. Dick

    farley rest questions...

The ad states that the new base is lighter, my Farley has the original heavy base and I wouldn't swap it for a lighter one. IMO the heavier the better, just get to the range early enough to get a parking space close to the shooting line. Dick
