Not wizzing on anybody just curious. Why is a floating bolt head so great? Don't see to many on Custom actions. As for interchangable bolt heads I don't know any Savage owners who do that on a semi-regular basis.

Knowing where Bethel Park is that is about a 5Hr hop skip and jump. There are 2 or 3 1000yd ranges closer than Williamsport.

Thinking of building a rifle to possibly try the longrange game. Which group is the most restrictive on rules for a LT gun class rifle? IBS,NBRSA or Pa 1000yd club? Would a HV short range BR rifle with the correct barrel/Caliber fit in the rules.

Just curious thinking about rebarreling a rifle for "Groundhog" shoots and was thinking of this. Also looking for something brass would be avaliable ( if needed quick) at the local shops.

How about we just shoot a caliber specific match. That way more shooting for everybody, doesn't matter what you use 22's shoot against 22's etc... that way everything is equal and nobody can complain. Until somebody else wins; then we need skill classifications like the NRA events ( B, A, AA...
