Wilbur: If I were king there are a few rules I would change. Credit for shooting a score higher than the current record is not one of them. Seeing your name in the record book as real ego booster, as it should be. Keeps some guys coming back. bob

Wilbur,
I ain't got no dog in the fight. I agree as I used LOL. It just means that 3 guys beat the last existing World Record and that makes all three new record holders. I used the LOL because I could see the inferrence. LOL

Carp

Yeah, I was wonderin' that as well. Curious to hear what folks don't like about it as inferred earlier.

I L'dOL a bit myself.

Defiantly an interesting rule, but if so many are attaining the highest score possible how long will it be before the first 10 or so top places are setting world records. Then who would be the record holder? Would it be the tenth place getter who fired his last record breaking shot after everyone else had finished.....lol quite an interesting scenario.....Ian

It's pretty simple, all those who shoot a score higher than what the record was at the beginning of that day are given credit for breaking the record on that day, with the highest score being THE RECORD at the end of that day, providing it withstands the scrutiny of the person or body that certifies records. That's pretty simple and hurts no one but the rule gives all who shot better than the standing record on the beginning of that day credit for shooting better then the previous guy. No harm, no foul.

I have seen quite a few records broken over the past number of years and a some of them were broken by folks who are not always on top. Some of them were broken in some foul conditions as well so rather it's the Blind Hog Theory or the shooter was blessed by an angel or Zen or Karma or whatever, no one can say but it ain't always the folks on top, most of the time, who have breoken them sometimes. Records are made to be broken, eh? Ain't nothing else to it.

Someone asked about the ammo Tony used. I asked Tony yesterday and he replied Midas +. bob

Bob, thanks for the clarification. I was somewhat puzzled that Center-X was mentioned as what Tony B. used. While some lots of Center-X are extremely good for local competitions, I doubted that Tony would have placed second in a highly competitive interstate match using it. Lapua Midas+ currently holds our local club's USBR 3 card agg. record (non-sanctioned) with a 739 22X. Previous record was held by another club member now living in Texas, a 731 21X shot with Eley Match. John
