This should be interesting to see what some of the new ideas are ...

Well I also was told today that the restriction on case capacity for Hunter BR has been removed. I think this was a good idea, cause I always wondered why the restricted a hunter gun case capacity to equal the capacity of the 30/30 case.

We got to see Gene's new concept at Tomball a few weeks ago. Pretty innovative.

This rule change has been needed for a long time, as the simple truth was, 99.9 percent of all Shooters simply shot their Sporter in LV.

This now makes the LV rifle the go to Rifle for those that just shoot one Rifle in all four group classes, including NBRSA Varmint for Score.

As Gene said, he does't look for any big changes in the near future, but at least this does give shooters the option to experiment with things such as barrel tapers and stock configurations.........Jackie

The Sporter Rifle can be no larger than .308 Winchester.

Trust the NBRS to get some confusion in a rule somewhere.

What does this mean? Bore size limited to .308? Or, no dimension larger than the .308 Winchester -- in which case, the .30 BR is illegal, as it has a larger body at the shoulder. Or any case made from the .308 is OK (which lets in the .338s & .35s)?
