I know this isnt benchrest per se, but I had to tell somebody. Here is our press announcement.

Stillers Precision Firearms has been chosen to supply the MK 13 action for the new updated MK 13 sniper rifle in 300 Win Mag for Crane Naval Weapons Center. We submitted samples and won out over the competition in a field type of test using all the submitted actions for consideration. They are putting our action on new AI Chassis systems with new high quality barrels. We are looking forward to dealing with them and becoming a supplier to help our forces do their job. Hopefully, when we complete the first phase of the contract for them this year, we will make the same action available to the general public. We will keep everyone informed of what is available as it happens.

Congrats Jerry! Job well done, Sir. On another note...what kinda leade time on a Drop port D'back RBLP ppc bolt--Mike Ezell

That's Great Jerry. You have put a lot of effort into making Stiller Firearms one of the premier action manufacturers in the world, and you efforts are paying off.........jackie

Congratulations, Jerry! Your commitment to quality is paying off.

Good one for the little guy.

Shows how screwed up our gov is, The Army is gonna buy 700 Remington's for about 7800.00 ea. 28+ million, for 3600 rifles.

Congrats Jerry. You have always been super good to me, and i am happy for you on this accomplishment! A man with your brain could have done just about anything you wanted to with your life but you choose this, and we as riflemen and sportsmen's are better off because of it. You bring a super product to the market at an even better price, than anyone else!! For that i personally thank you!! great job!! On a side note. Does this mean i wont be getting my rim-fire action anytime soon?? LOL!! Just Joking!! Lee

Congrats Jerry and the gang at Stiller. Best thing is we all know they will be getting at least their money'e worth. We should be saying congrats to the Navy for winning a contract from Stiller Precision.

Cheers,
Rob

Congradulations to SPF et all.
It will be great to see some MORE good TEXAS made equipment in the field.

The current MK13's have Remington made long actions so this will be a nice upgrade.

In the past LIlja has had the contract fror MK 13 barrels and I suspect this will continue.

These actions will go to more than just the Navy. Crane is the proponent for most if not all SOF specific wepons fielding and development.

What's with all the post-it, then delete-it??????????

What's with it?

Yesterday you made comments about the government and one of our military branches with regards to the Remington contract. I took exception to those comments and responded.

Another active member jumped in with his dialog thinking Mr. Stiller's contract was the one being discussed. Mr Stiller perceptively commented that he knew that it was the Remington contract that was referred to and had no problem with the discussion saying everyone has the right to their opinion.

Somewhere along the line one of the moderators decided to remove a host of responses including Mr. Stiller's mentioned above. You'll never know who it was, or more importantly, the rationale behind it. It's just done in anonymity.

So that's what happened. :)

You are so wrong. I did not assume when I gave you my experience with Govt Contratcts. Kudos, to anyone outside the loop, that is awarded these contracts. You know, that these contract are written to specs, and many, and in the case of Stiller, meet and exceed these spec's. Sorry I interjected my experience on this tread. Remove this if you feel I'm out of line or not telling it like is is. I had already sent Jerry a private note , congradulating him. I hope if my Grandson is ever in the position to use one of these MK-13's it's one of Jerry's MFG.

Fred J ...

Your comments never came into play. If you thought the "Another active member jumped in with his dialog" was referring to you, you assumed incorrectly. Art :)

I know I like my new Stiller action. In fact, I will be going out in the morning to work up some loads for it. I enjoy shooting that rifle, it's one of my favorites.
Best,
Dan Batko

"Where are we going and why am I in this basket?"

Gold vipers

WOW!

The experts say its all about the merits of the design. I suspect that the Navy saw something in your Action design that convinced them to choose it over the other designs. It Says a lot about the design Engineer. Nobody will appreciate your efforts more than the sniper in the field. I sure would like to get my hands on another one of the original Viper Actions. :D

Glenn,
I agree with your comments completely. Now, lets have lunch and see just how DEEP your pockets are. I'll even buy, steaks sound good. Joe

Jerry,
One quick question.....Is it normal for you to sell an action where the serial # on the action and bolt don't match??
