Does anyone one know where I can find some federal 205m primers,an some h4198 powder.Just decided to try benchrest shooting an there is nothing out there to be had that I can find.So I guees what im asking is there one of you guys might have some extra stuff that you would part with so I can atleast try this sport out. Thanks

Just be patient. The stuff is getting eaiser to find. Put your want needed to the larger vendors and wait or beg borrow or ? Bench rst shooters are a generous lot. They like to help newbies.

One of the best ways to get started is to go to one of the ranges that you will shoot your matches at and talk to the shooters at this match and talk to some of the shooters and find out which one of them might fit to help you get started in the sport, not all shooters have the temperment to teach someone, as a new shooter will not remember all the things at first and the teacher will need to have patience and go over things again with you.

We need new shooters in our sport, so if you find someone to help you and your personalities don't mix don't be afraid to change, we want you to enjoy the sport and stay shooting.

If you feel that you will want to shoot the sport and stay in it, buy good equipment to start then you won't have to spend your money twice. You will find some of your supplies at the shoots or someone that has it and will bring it to the next match.

good luck

Well Tate,

you probably will not find any of the primers or powder you are wanting for quite a few months. There are substitutes that will work and that may be available. I have a few primers I can part with and can tell you where to buy a substitute powder. You know how to get in touch with me. P

At the last couple matches I shot in , fellow shooters were more likely to trade than sell componants outright. trade Rifle Primers for pistol primers, powder, or bullets. The Barter system works. RANDY
