Primer cup hardness

Is there a listing of the hardness of the cup of Small Rifle Primers or any or all of the primer types published anywhere?
There seems to be a lot of reference from one primer to another in threads but not a listing like a powder chart.
Thanks,
Centerfire

My experience has been Remington 7 & 1/2 primers to be the most resistant to 'piercing' or blanking... back in the early days of hot .17's they were the only primer to use...

How does the primer cup hardness affect the accuracy?
How does it affect the rifle so long as the rifle has an adequate firing pin spring?
How much does the difference really make in being able to shoot hotter loads?

The Remington 6 1/2 primer should not be used in the 17, 222 ,223 Remington rounds.

German, Thank you for your reply. My question stems from the purchase of a RRA AR and comments on the web regarding the use of soft primers due to the possibility of slam fires from the inertial firing pin. I have some CCI BR4 primers I thought should work in this varmint type rifle. Just getting started.
243winxb, Thanks for the information. I bought a new Sierra manual to help in my new project. Still have not loaded for it.

CCI 41 primers are intended for AR's and other self loaders with floating firing pins. I think they are harder than BR4's.

Thanks Greg, I looked up your info on the CCI web site and you are correct. They call them #41/5.56 Appreciated.

For what it is worth...........I have shot easily 10K rounds through 4 different ARs and a buddy has likely shot 5K through several that he has owned. We both used the CCI BR-4 primer, and never had a slam fire. I know what I would do.

Thanks German.

I have some better info. now. For a better answer. I have owned 2 Colt AR-15s. Always loaded CCI SR on a Lee Turret. That was before the shortage. Never a slam fire. Have recently tried Wolf Magnum. In .223 Rem. and 6PPC. Good primers. Hard to seat. Tried hand primer tool. Ended up using Lee Press. All good.
Note only the 6PPC gets loaded HOT. But, with all the Custom stuff.
M1 Garand CCI #34. On an Old timers advice. And former owner. 10 bulls 200yd. I listen good.
Said he shot 5 Chicoms. with a Garand. One bullet Black tip. In Korea of course. I listened to that, too.
Said he used to bend carbines for the Officers. And tell them to go get a real man's gun.
He kept a collection of them on the back of his tank. "Better us, then them".

I decided to do a little measuring of my primer pocket uniformers and present the information for review.
Comments,
PPC Sm Rifle uniformer .126" deep
PPC Sm Rifle uniformer .12455" deep
Std Sm Rifle uniformer .13185" deep
As you can see the Standard Sm Rifle uniformer is going to cut deeper than the PPC/BR uniformer.
Is there any specified depth of a Lapua Small Rifle primer pocket for
.220 R
.223
