There is a great, long, thread

on another site that gets into this kind of discussion where in chamber configurations are discussed in depth, this is what I had hoped might occur here -----.

Chambers,Chambers and More Chambers

It seems the lad that posts the most knows the most. I would think that when it all starts You should have the barrel dialed in dead nuts. If not it all goes down hill from here. The helix on the thread needs to pull the shoulder tight to the action. That is dead nuts to the bore of the barrel. (Basic Machining) It isn't rocket science. Romancing it won't make a bad chamber better. Now comes the fun part. You could Hobb it. That process will go to the grave with the "Old Queen" No one has ever seen this done. Wonder why? With Rimfire Reamers they are not all created equal!!

Quick note on Tuners MD's, What ever is in Vogue today. They time the barrel with WEIGHT nothing more. How can a .900 barrel with a 8 oz Harrell's tuner with 6 or 7 oz. of weight shoot ( 5 years ago you had to have a Benchmark barrel with 5 oz. weight) and another with just a tuner shoot. A lot of this tuning looks good on a computer screen. It would be nice to see the same results with out having to shoot a half a case of ammo.
