New Meaning to the term: Chain Saw

When Hurricane Ike blew into the Galveston area, Bolinger shipyard in Texas City lost one of the older dry docks.
They used two big barge cranes on each side, each pulling the chain.
They sawed it into small sections they could handle.

Concrete can be cut by chain too, and does a nice job of it.

When I was in high school many years ago I spent one summer at a place that made grave stones. They would bring in a yuge boulder and had a device with bars about a half inch thick and maybe 6 inches apart. The bottom of the bars had semi-circle shaped cutouts. The would run this back and forth using steel shot and water until it eventually cut through it.
