There are a couple of schools of thought on this subject.
One group says just load it up, and shoot it.
Others say shoot five rounds, cleaning after each round, then shoot two a couple of times, cleaning, after those two, then clean it good, and go for it.
I still "break in" barrels. I guess it is habit more than anything else, or maybe I am scared not to. But, some of the best shooters I know simply screw it on, and start shooting.
Since yours is a Factory Barrel, I would do the five shot, cleaning after each shot, then shoot a couple of three shot groups, cleaning after each group. That should do it.......jackie
