Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, Shelley and I kicked a lot of ideas back and forth via email and forums such as BR Central. Shelley once lived in Wilmont, S.D. and he always had a South Dakota story for me.

I spoke with Shelley on the phone about 10 days ago. He said he was comfortable and told me about the arrangements he'd made for his memorial service. When I asked if there was anything at all I could do for him, he asked me to pray for him. When I said I had been and so had many, many others, there was this long pause after which he stated: "I know you guys have been. I can feel it." When I hung up, I knew that he was at peace.

I'll be in Holmen, Wi. for an IBS Score Two Gun tournament this weekend and will send a round downrange in honor of Shelley.

Godspeed, Shelley Davidson.

Sad Day

I just got in from a job, and my Wife said I had better check the Forum.
Shelly was a true friend, and a great guy to just hang around. His mind was always working, and he always had some idea up his sleeve.
I am going to miss Shelly.
My Wife Marilyn and I send our heartfelt condolences to Shelly's Familly. May The Lord recieve his soul........jackie & Marilyn

I didn't know Shelley...

but, just from reading this site, I liked him. My old pal Aberegg has spoke highly of him.

We don't need to lose people like this.

Rest in peace.

Wow, it sems like some of the best are being taken from us. I had the chance to corispond with Shelly a couple of times and we was very willing to anwser my questions on his new stock design.

May he rest in peace, and may the Lord watch over his family at this sad time.

Rodney, I hope you don't mind that I copied the first of the three photos of Shelley that you posted. That grin is the way I'll want to remember him.
