Hey Wilbur

Test of free, on-line picture editor. Original photo 2100 pixels wide. Resampled to 300 pixels wide, then saved as a jpeg. Here is the link to the editor - you can do much more in the application...

Edit:

Oh, sorry, it isn't a stock photo, it's a picture of a quilt my mother-in-law made for our wedding some 27 years ago, trotted out for the silver anniversary... I don't have any shooting pics, no digital camera yet.

I've used PhotoShop at work for years. This free, on-line program is nowhere near as powerful, but it can do a fair bit. From Adobe, if you can't afford Photoshop -- plus the learning curve -- Camera Raw, or Lightroom are pretty good.

Nice picture coming out the NE gate of Yellowstone. When did you get to Billings? last time I came out that way, was Midnight b-4 I got to a motel in Billings. Beautiful drive, even at night.

Yes, that's beautiful country...think that was in June, '03, coming or going to Bear Creek Pass. Never made it to Billings, need to spend some more time in the northwest.

Indiana - would you please try to send me that 2.75 photo by email. Don't know if gmail will handle it or not....

Would save me some effort. I swapped computers and don't have files any that large to play with - much less one that nice. Further, the dimensions are perfect for testing - wider than tall.
